I ordered carpet for 2 rooms in my home approximately 6 weeks ago. The carpet was to be installed in about 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, I still had not heard from the company so contacted them & they still did not have the carpet in nor a delivery date. After another week of poor communication from them, we finally had news of the carpet delivery which it had now been 5-6 weeks from the original order date. I was then advised that even though the carpet was in, there was no one to install it for another 10-14 days despite the original install date promised. We requested to have our contractor pick up the carpet & we would find someone else to install it sooner if they would reduce the final cost by taking off the install price of which they agreed. After the carpet was picked up, the installers (who normally work for ****** installing carpet) stated that the measurements were wrong & there was not enough carpet. The store was contacted about this & their solution was to cut a piece of carpet from the other room & install it in the room that was incorrectly measured. The layout of the carpet provided was not correct with the industry standard in that it required the installer to cut multiple strips in the carpet creating multiple seams in the carpet in order to complete the install. One would expect 1 or 2 seams in a large rectangle room with carpet but the way the layout was created required > 8 seams in the carpet. The company was contacted about this & they were very argumentative, aggressive & cursed at our contractor. They stated, with mixed vulgarity, that we could just bring it back for a refund then. Returning it at that time would have caused a huge delay in our project. We went ahead & had it installed but there are multiple seams in the room. I am very disappointed in the shady business practice of this company & the way we were treated. We would like the carpet to be replaced with a more appropriate layout requiring only 1-2 seams so as to avoid future issues.
