      On 8/05/22 a tech from Mr.Appliance of South Louisville came to my house to repair an ice maker in a 2 yr old Whirlpool refrigerator-freezer. He said the icemaker had to be replaced and ordered a new one for which I paid about $335. About two weeks later he installed the new ice maker. He said to wait 3 days for it to start making ice. It never did, so we called him back. He said to "reset" the refrigerator by emptying it and unplugging it for 3 days and then plug it back in. We did that and everything worked with the freezer and refrigerator as before except no ice again. He then said the problem must be in the water valve or the mother board. We noted that the arm in the ice maker was frozen in the "off" position, and that this might be the problem, but at that point no one in the company could be contacted by phone or by appointment. We received a check in the mail for $132.56 (not cashed) for "partial refund"...the only explanation. I have paid $335 for a ice maker that works and the defective replacement carries a one year warranty. I want the company to contact me and make an appointment for the tech to come out and repair my ice maker.

      I called Mr. Appliance to fix ice maker. He said I needed a new one. This was on 11/9/2021. He came back 12/09/2021 and in stalled new one. It did not work, so he said he would be back to fix it again. Ever since 11/09/21 water has leaked from freezer and I have to keep towel in front everyday because of the water. Ice maker has been turned off from beginning. I have called them numerous of times and been promised over and over someone would call me and get it resolved. I get same answer when I call, that they will give message to tech and will be called. 17 times I have called. No call back, nothing. Almost 4 months now to get my ice maker fixed. I paid $167.00 on 11/09/21 and final payment of $165.00 on 12/09/21. I want my money back, for them to get the old ice maker back. They just keep ignoring me! All you get is an dead promise or a lie. Answering machine takes the call. Please help me get this resolved so I can get my icemaker fixed. Their #**********, and half time they do not answer. This is driving me crazy because I just want what I paid for and the service fee. Please help me.

       This complaint was resolved on March 17, 2022. A full refund check was issued to the customer in the amount of $332. Check number 1132. We consider this matter closed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention that it had not been communicated with you.

      On 8/13/21, a technician from Mr. Appliance come out to fix a leak in our refrigerator. Their policy is if the customer choses to not get the repairs done, all the customer has to pay is the diagnostic fee. This technician said that he needed to come back and fix the refrigerator the next week. Due to the technician not being confident that what he was going to do to the refrigerator would actually fix it, I have been trying to call the company all week. the calls go to an answering service and they tell me that they will have someone call me. I've made several calls and have yet to get a call back. It seems odd to me that I can't call a local appliance company and actually talk to them directly. The technician charged me half of the repair cost. I would like to speak to someone from Mr Appliance so that I can just pay for the diagnostic fee and be credited back what I was charged for half of the repair cost. This business will not answer the phone or return my calls.

      We received a message from Mr. ******* about not wanting to do the repair on his refrigerator.  He had originally paid a deposit of $130 toward the cost of the repair. After getting his request, we sent out a partial refund check in the amount of $28 on 8-24-21.  Check number is ****.  Since we had already ordered the part for his repair prior to him contacting us, we had incurred shipping costs of $13 and had to take that off of the refund.  This should conclude this matter.  Have a great day!
