The freezer part of our refrigerator went out on January 28, 2022. An Ace Appliance repairman came out the same day and fixed it, which we really appreciated. While here, the repairman noticed that our ice maker wasn't working. He offered to come back and install a new ice maker for $100 total. We agreed, and paid him for the repair ($325) and $100 in advance for the new ice maker and its' installation. It took numerous calls to get them to come back, but they finally did (I don't recall the date). When installing the new ice maker, they had to re-do the wiring on it, not just plug it in as one would expect. They didn't stay to make sure it was working before they left. It has never worked. We called the next day and were told to wait a while longer to allow it to work. We have called many times since then. Our calls are not even answered. The one time we did get through, we were told that someone would be here at 4:00 on Sunday, April 3, 2022. They never showed up. They continue to not answer our calls. I found another phone number and left messages with their answering service, with no response. I did a review on their website explaining our complaint. They responded that we should contact them concerning the "misunderstanding". They have not answered our calls or answered messages left with their answering service. All we want to do is return the non-working ice maker and get our money back. We had another repairman come, at a cost of $85. He immediately recognized that it was the wrong ice maker for our refrigerator.
