I visited Garden Springs Dental in Summer 2019 to fill in a cavity hole. I paid with my dental insurance, and that was the extent of all my interactions with the company. On Oct 28, 2020, I suddenly received an email from them about "outstanding claims," which I was sure was false since I'd never been there since 2019. I replied, and they never responded. I started receiving invoices in the mail, and I tried to call them but they never answered. I emailed them again in March 2021 after a "final invoice" and they again never responded. They were totally unreachable and radio silent to me, although I used all of the contact info they gave me. I sent a follow up email and assumed the matter was resolved when they again were silent. I'm happy to provide evidence (pdf). On Sept 20, 2021, a collections account was suddenly posted to my credit report. Rather than resolve the issue with me, this company chose to ignore me completely and then wait half a year to try to ruin my credit score.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/30) */ We are more than willing to help resolve this complaint. Before we received the formal complaint, there were multiple emails and calls attempting resolve this issues. We are missing important information in order to file your claims with your insurance company. Which we asked for in our correspondence. We are more than happy to share that correspondence again or you can call our office manager and she will help resolve the insurance issue. Once we have the required information, we are more than willing to help with your desired resolution. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/30) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not yet accept this response because the issue has not yet been resolved. I prefer to correspond via BBB to resolve this matter because all my emails, calls, and voicemails over a six month period were all left unanswered by Garden Springs Dental. And frankly, after all my troubles, I don't trust their office manager to communicate with me, as they requested me to do in their last response. I replied immediately to ******* only email to me in less than 24 hours, and my reply went ignored, and all my calls and voice messages to **** and Garden Springs Dental were similarly unanswered. The only time I've ever received a response from Garden Springs Dental was through BBB. So I prefer to resolve this here, through BBB. The information Garden Springs Dental stated about "multiple emails and calls" is false, from my perspective. The only correspondence I received from Garden Springs Dental was one email, not multiple (and this email did not ask for insurance information, like Garden Springs Dental stated), and many of the same copy of a mailed invoice that said nothing more than "outstanding claims" without specifying what the claim was for or even what date the claim was for. All my emails and voice messages requesting additional information were left ignored by Garden Springs Dental. I also don't believe I owe this claim, since this was over a year out from my last and only visit to Garden Springs Dental and the charge itself is above market price for any service or combined services I received. It doesn't help that you provided literally no context about the claim, so I have no idea what this is about. It's nice to finally hear after all this time that this was apparently an insurance issue. It's unfortunate that I could not get this information until filing a complaint through BBB. Again, as I said in one of my emails that was left ignored by Garden Springs Dental over six months ago, I am more than happy to communicate with you to determine what's going on and resolve this issue mutually. However, since my credit score has already been unfairly damaged by your actions, the first step that must be taken is to have the collections account removed immediately and my credit score restored before moving forward. I also require (1) proof that the claims are legitimate and agreed upon by me, (2) a detailed bill on all services I received and their associated prices, (3) proof that I have not paid these "outstanding claims." You can mail me these documents or email them to me (the mailing address and email address are the same), and we can confirm separately through BBB that they were sent (to be confirmed by you) and received (to be confirmed by me). I'd also prefer we use BBB's platform to similarly confirm the sending and receiving of any and all correspondence between us outside of BBB, since Garden Springs Dental claims to have sent me more messages than I actually received; to give them the benefit of the doubt, I will assume that there was a technological or service issue that prevented me from receiving these messages, and I think it'd be best for all parties to diligently record through BBB when a message is sent and when a message is received by each party. If you have a different proposed resolution, I'm open ears.
