purchased a printer from lexmark on 03-11-24. When I purchased it I told them I didn't have internet at home and it would be a usb connection. I received the printer a week later and tried to connect it and had to call tech. support. I received the The guidance and the direction from the tech person it's still it would not it would not work. So I called back the next day and told them that I wanted to return it for refund And the guy had me take a picture of it given the serial number to the model everything and nothing so I called again then they wanted me to give him proof of purchase and all this other stuff that they should have obviously on the account but of course I gave that to them anyway and it's just been a complete disaster there's nothing wrong with this product I just randomly return it it won't connect to my computer no big deal it's packed in the box ready to go and all I keep getting is the run around.Initial Complaint

In January, I purchased a Lexmark laser color printer. After reading about the Lexmark One program on their website, I learned that Lexmark would automatically send me toner when I needed it based on the printer's default settings. On February 1st, I received my first toner supplies from Lexmark, and by the end of February, I was running low on toner. I reached out to Lexmark eCommerce on March 1st to inquire about my next toner shipment, thinking they would have this information based on my printer connection. However, ***** ** and ***** ** from Lexmark eCommerce Support informed me via email that they had already sent me enough toner to last until August 2024, with each toner cartridge lasting 1,500 pages and my usage averaging 250 pages per month. Despite the promise on their website to automatically send ink when needed through the Lexmark One program, I felt that the eCommerce support was giving me conflicting information and not following through with their stated program. I, ***** ********* (“Complainant”), paid Lexmark International (“Lex”) $280.76 directly for printer model MB2236i (“Printer”) on October 26,2023, as delivered on November 4,2023. Lex Morocco stationed technical assistants (“Assistants”) quickly declared Printer inoperable before it had printed a single page. Following Complainant’s admission of possessing neither working computer nor printer, Assistants via case ****************** promised to timely deliver a new Printer needed to facilitate the installation of a new computer, as scheduled to arrive November 15, 2023. On November 12,2023 Assistants unilaterally issued case ****************** promising instead to issue a refund in exchange for a proof of purchase receipt (“Proof”), albeit Lex having delivered Printer in the absence of a receipt. Such reversal proved deleterious to both Complainant’s health and business of operation. By November 13,2023 Complainant had interacted with up to 7 different Assistants, requiring up to 5 hours of time, and with each needing to confess being “old and hard of hearing” in futile attempts to move Assistants to speak more coherently. Yet, Assistants continued to fail to provide an address where to mail Proof, as included in Complainant’s Visa monthly statement. On November 14,2023 Complainant was placed on an Rx, to deal with the overload of stress Lex had imparted, in a seemingly brutal campaign of failed promises, and passive disrespect and harassment. By November 20, 2023 Complainant had purchased a new Hewlett Packard ("HP") printer, requiring one HP technician to place the printer online, during a single session. On November 27,2023 Complainant emailed Proof (see attachment) to Houssam El Afi at the single address Assistants had provided. The email requested Assistant to both acknowledge receipt of Proof, and to provide a refund at Lex’s earliest possible convenience. As of the date of this writing, Complainant has received no Lex communication.Initial Complaint

I have been a long term customer of this company, regularly ordering its products by phone. Recently, however, when I call their customer service line, I get a message saying to wait for a live agent, but there is never a live agent available and then I am asked to leave a message. However, when I have left messages - over the past several weeks on three different occasions, no one calls me back. They should be willing to continue to take my orders by phone. If they are no longer taking orders by phone, they should at least let people like me know.!Initial Complaint

Purchased laser replacement ink on Feb 3 2022, account showed that the product shipped on Feb 3 2022 and my CC was charged 316.06. waited to track, *** shows Delayed. Called Customer Service 02/10, very nice said they would send a out a replacement order and they would recall the original shipment with UPS. waited again, called again 02/23 and was told there were no notes on my file and they would have to look into it. it is now the 28th of Feb 2022 I have a charge on my card for 316.06 and no product and now my printer is out of ink. Customer service has been very nice but I think more in an attempt to get me off the line and hope someone else has to deal with it, can not find any place on their website to escalate the issue. If the product is out of stock or there is some other issue I would rather be told the truth and refunded my money so I can make a purchase somewhere else.Business response

I have been using this toner cartridge for my Lexmark printer for the last 3 years and re-order through ******. I re-ordered as usual and the cartridge did not fit. I re-ordered again from a different source and didn't fit. I tried ordering from a new source and still didn't fit. So, I ordered directly from Lexmark and it did not fit. It appears they changed the design of the toner so it no longer sits in the printer correctly. I escalated the issue but was told they don't do refunds, they'll send a new toner. I don't want another toner that will NOT FIT! And it doesn't resolve the problem that something has changed with their manufacturing/production and the toner no longer fits the printer model that it says it does. I want a full refund of $102.76 which was charged to my credit card and I want an explanation of why I can't get toner they claim fits my Lexmark printer making my printer unuseable. I had no choice but to purchase a new printer due to this design change. I'm attaching a PDF with all correspondence along with photos.Initial Complaint

I have a Lexmark printer that I bought August 13 of 2021 and now suddenly it says that there is a paper jam in it for no reason and there is no paper jam in it. I have taken all the paper out and someone at Lexmark had me turn the printer on and off 3 times and also unplug it that many times too. They had me take a picture of the sales receipt and also the serial number and send that to ehtm which I did topday. This printer problem hap(pened a week ago today. Now they tell me taht my year warranty is only good for 3 - 5 days from the day of purchase. They are wrong as I have never had a printer before that only had that short of a warranty on it. There were always a year. So they are not still fixing it and making it worakbel for me. I need them to fix it like they sho9uld!Business response
