  I have a house that is over 100 years old and hired Rob ****** to redo my concrete porch. The job looked good when completed and they came back shortly to cut control joints in the concrete. Within six months, I noticed a crack in the floor of the porch that goes around the perimeter from one end to the other. I called Mr. ****** and his office personnel, ****** numerous times. He even came out and took pictures of the crack and made promises of his crew coming out to correct the situation. He explained how this would be done as well as promising to make it right. Even as recent as November 19th, I was told this would be corrected. I am not satisfied with his work product and/or his warranty. I am filing a complaint due to his negligence in fulfilling his promise that this would be corrected.

                  In regards to the complaint filed on the Better Business Bureaus website, we completed the job in question in 2019. We put in all the necessary restraints such as; wire, rebar, and 4000 PSI concrete. The job was done with complete confidence and was done correctly. Concrete does tend to crack over time and the customer was told that at the time the estimate was given. We did receive a phone call that the customer had a crack and the owner Rob Lawson went out to take a look and explained to the customer that with the time stretch in between the time we completed the job (2019) until the end of 2022, we would not be to redo the concrete.  Everything was explained to the customer multiple times.

  I am rejecting this response because: 1.  This job was done in the latter part of 2021.  I understand that concrete does tend to crack after completed, BUT, once the crack was apparent I called Apex Concrete.
  2.  The crack that goes around the entire perimeter of the porch became visible within months.
  3. *** ****** came out multiple times due to continued followup on my part and each time he promised to take care of the situation.  He even explained which worker would do the work and the process to get it fixed.  
  4.  At no time did he indicate this entire porch would need replacing. He kept assuring me he would take care of this issue. 
   5. Before hiring Apex, I did talk to a prior customer who was satisfied with his work, noting there were cracks in his concrete, said *** ****** had told him this would be fixed also.  
  6.  It was a last resort to complain to the BBB.  Obviously *** ****** does not stand behind his work product or his word.
