I recently bought a 5 month old Bouvier des Flandres puppy from a breeder named ********* ******** She owns and operates SLR Kennels, which is located at ***** **** **** ** in *********** ********. As part of the purchase process, I signed a legally binding contract. This document explicitly stated that the dog I was purchasing would be delivered to me in a state of complete health, a promise that the breeder guaranteed. The finalization of this purchase, including the complete payment, took place on April 27th, 2024. Bane was sent to me via ground carrier nanny services and arrived April 28th. It became immediately apparent that something was wrong. **** was vomiting, exhibiting clear signs of severe malnourishment and dehydration. His coat was in terrible condition – matted, dirty, and completely unkempt. Most alarming was his unusually low heart rate. Recognizing the severity of the situation, I rushed him to a vet. They quickly admitted him due to the dire state of his health. The breeder had promised me that this dog would weigh around 50 lbs, which is the average weight for a dog of his breed and age. However, when weighed at the vet, he was only 30 lbs. This is a full 30lbs lighter than the recommended weight for a Bouvier des Flandres of his age. I have made attempts to reach out to ********* ******* regarding this serious issue to no avail. She denies any wrongdoing, refusing to accept any responsibility for the evident neglect and abuse that **** has suffered under her care. She defends herself by asserting that his underweight condition is not her fault, suggesting he may not have eaten enough due to living with other dogs. She insists that, in her opinion, the dog is healthy – a claim that is patently false. My vet has verbally declared **** as unhealthy. I seek total compensation.

I have been a breeder of Bouvier des Flandres dogs for over 30 years *************** I have some 1,500 puppies out across the USA, Canada, West Indies  and Spain.  I have never had one ill puppy leave my property. The puppy ***** was seen ** ***** ****** *** on APRIL 25, 2024. **** was given a wellnesws check up and was given a Health Certificate and a ****** **** in order to cross state lines. My Vet, *** ***** found NO PROBLEMS with ***** he weighed 34.3#'s and was a happy go lucky puppy. I always take videos to support my claim of healthy dog going to the new owner prior to departure. I attached the video that I sent to ***** ***** of **** a happy go lucky dog. This was Friday April 26, 2024. **** was given a bath on Saturday and left at 9:30 PM to drive straits through. I did not order this transport *** ***** did. When transport got they had a compact car where they carried **** on the lap of passenger all the the to Woodbridge, VA a 13 hour drive. because they had two cars in a wire cage on the seat and a German Shepherd laying on the floor board of back set floor. I asked if any of these animals had health certificates they said NO thats why I took pictures took and sent them to *** ***** (as they drove off)  that I did not approve of how they were going to transport my dog. When the dog got there I was told he was dieing and had to go to emergrency care for **** because he was so sick. I believe that the puppy got into something where ever they stopped such as a truck stop, that has left over ani-freeze on the surface. I paid all the medicals bills including ******* euthanasia on May 6, 2024 and offered her pick of litter when ever she wants to replace ***** as our contract states. I do believed ****** problems started with the transport carrier!
