      They don’t stand behind their shotty workmanship. They make a mistake, and if you don’t find it within the first year, it is on you to fix it and pay for it. If you use Ball Homes, I hope you have a background in home construction.

      This customer closed on a new home 2/11/20. Our homes include a 2-10 Warranty, which includes the one year builder warranty as well as certain specific additional coverage during the 2 year period and the 10 year structural warranty. The one-year builder warranty on this home concluded on 2/11/21. We made some repairs to the flooring (replacement of a few planks) during their six-month warranty interval. Additional flooring items were reported by the customer at the one-year warranty interval but determined by the flooring contractor not to be deficient under the warranty terms. More flooring complaints were report on 12/22/21, and the customer was informed (correctly) by our customer relations department that the flooring, which was covered by the one-year warranty, was outside of the warranty period at that time. We believe the customer's dissatisfaction likely stems from the declined repairs. While we always prefer to be able to satisfy a customer request, the written warranty does have specific parameters both with respect to the time limits of the warranty, the definitions of defects, and the proscribed remedies. The written warranty is available on our website and provided to each customer at closing, if not before. The warranty length is the industry-wide norm. While we understand that the customer may have preferred that we respond otherwise, adhering to the terms of the warranty is a sound business practice that allows us to devote our resources to making sure that any issues that do arise for our customers that are covered under the warranty can be satisfactorily addressed.

      This customer paid someone $40 for 10 minutes of time to tell me that the gutter had been put in upside down which lead to the back up in my gutter. This company seems to not value customer service because of some fine print. It should be noted for future customers that this company only wants your money not your business or loyalty.
