They told me my house was only worth $180,000 and I agreed to sell for $170,000. It turns out the fair market price for my house is $215,000. They lied to me about the true value of my home. When I asked to back out of the contract, they threatened to put a lien on my house.

Thank you for reaching out and providing feedback on your recent interaction. I've thoroughly reviewed the details of the conversation with ****. When you initially contacted us, you requested $175,000 for your home and expressed a need for a swift sale and mentioned the challenges you faced with the traditional real estate market. A local realtor had provided you with an expected turnaround of 6 to 7 months and the several cash offer companies you had spoken to were also not able to meet your needs.

Since cash offers were not suitable, we introduced an alternative, our Retail Buyer Program, which had a higher offer of $165,000. Under this program, we committed to marketing your property extensively, covering all associated expenses, including repairs, closing costs, commissions, and marketing all while closing within 45 business days. While we will not be the end buyer with this program, we will source them from our extensive marketing efforts which includes paid ****** ***, ******** Ads, listing locally and from our large and vetted buyer pool. This is the program many of our sellers opt for as the number will far exceed any cash offers and it has all ease of a cash transactions. You were excited about this option and countered at $170,000 and we accepted. We believed this approach would provide you with the desired outcome while ensuring a fair and transparent process.

Following the contract signing and marketing, we encountered an unexpected request to terminate the agreement. We understand your frustration upon seeing the property marketed at a higher price but to clarify your offer is fixed and we make a profit and cover all the expenses by sourcing the highest offer possible from our end buyers. I genuinely attempted to address your concerns and find common ground to move forward. However, we were unable to reach a satisfactory resolution during our previous discussions, but would welcome the possibility of reconnecting.
      Warm regards,
      ****** *****

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Your company tried to hide the true value of my home at several points throughout the process.

The MLS paperwork has a listing price of = Incomplete

When the house was first listed the ********* was listed along with it. After I raised my concerns, the ********* was hidden and a pop up stated seller did not want to show the *********.

I’d like to end our relationship on a positive note. How do you think we can accomplish that?

      Sincerely,

      ****** *************
