Kentucky Farm Bureau in my current Home Owners insurance company. April 4, 2024 a storm producing high winds, hail, and tornadoes came through my town and neighborhood. I originally thought that I had hail damage, but after several inspections it was determined that the damage to my roof was flying debris and tree limbs. KFB adjuster **** ***** came to my home unannounced, without an appointment or even a courtesy call. ** ***** inspected my room for hail damage and did not see any signs of hail on my soft metals. ** ***** left upset after a conversation we had in regards to a conflict of interest. Once it was determined that the damage was caused by tree limbs I contacted ** ***** again to give him an update. Apparently ** ***** denied my claim, closed my claim, and never bothered to call me to let me know that, nor have I received a letter of explanation on why my claim was denied and closed. He refused to take into account the new information I gave him and said that I should just speak to his boss because him and I were never going to have a productive conversation. I have called multiple times and left messages to his supervisor *** ******* **** with no response. I have filed another claim for wind damage. I have 3 separate inspections from 3 separate companies stating that I have damage to my roof due to the recent storms. KFB is already under investigation by the state for refusing to pay out on damaged roof claims in my area. I want a fair adjuster to do a fair inspection and take into account the inspections I have already had to make a fare decision.Business response

On 8/24/2023 ******* ****** was driving the vehicle listed on the copy of police report that was submitted.Kentucky Farm Bureau claims that ******* ****** was the driver submitted. Documents obtained from ********** show that my son **** **** the reported driver and the reported information was submitted by Kentucky Farm Bureau. I have provided screenshots of filing with ********** and the police report. On 1/19/2024 I spoke to ***** *******, the claim adjuster, and was informed that ********** was at fault, however, documents provided prove the statement inaccurate.Business response

In March of 2023 our home received damage to the roof primarily from a tree. We called the adjusters office to start the process. We had an adjuster come out and assess the damage. We got multiple estimates that were mainly 56k to replace the roof. After talking for 7 months we were informed that they were only going to pay 39k for the roof stating that it was the best they could do and that the estimates did not provide enough details of the job. We tried to reach out to the companies again to get detailed estimates but all they would say is the roof required more skilled labor than asphalt shingles. We removed the tree from the house due to not being able to access our door and we are not being compensated for that either. I've been insured by Ky farm bureau for 24+ years and have only had one other claim.Business response

My 17yo daughter was in an automobile accident on 1/29/2023, where she was going straight and an elderly lady pulled off of a side street and collided with the vehicle. The car was totaled. KY Farm Bureau (****** **********) originally filed the claim against my policy and sent me a payout document on 2/8 with a deductable, even though we were not at fault. Both myself, as well as UK Credit Union, have made MULTIPLE attempts to get this claim finalized, however, the adjuster - ***** ****** will not answer, nor return phone calls. I have contacted the corporate office and they send my complaint back to the incompetent claims adjuster - where nothing is done. My daughter has been without a vehicle for nearly two months, with no end it sight, due to this company's negligence. I have also filed a complaint with the attorney general.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The check for the total loss was supposedly mailed on 3/15, however, it is 3/23 and the bank has yet to receive it. This accident was 1/29 - the payout quote was issued 2/8 - it is now 3/23 and still have not received payment. It appears that I will need to file a Bad Faith Insurance Claim.
