On ll/17/22, I entered Belle Nails Salon and requested my nails be manicured and that I had a gift card given me as a gift, that I would use in amount of $45.00 - had card in my hand at this time. Nail Tech saw it and proceeded to manicure my nails and laid my gift card on table. At checking out, I asked if I owed any more toward my bill and after she showed my gift card to several Nail Techs and probably the owner, (not sure as they did not speak English well at all), I was informed my gift card was no longer any good as it has past the one year expiration date - my gift card is hand written and signed but not dated but has a number at top right hand corner - I asked owner to please look up the date it was issued but he refused. I went ahead and paid out of my own money - $45.00 for nail servicing and I left the nail tech a $5.00 tip. I feel this company showed unfair business practice and took advantage of me. I have attached a copy of my gift card. I hope you can assist me in this unfair experience and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, ***** *******Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I did not force owner with anything - he refused a perfectly good gift card from the salon for $45.00 ...... I paid my bill on my credit card and even left the nail tech a nice cash tip, as I felt she did a good job. My gift card was shown to tech from the minute I sat down to be waited on - nothing was ever asked or discussed about my gift card until after my nails were completed and I was communicated with in chinese, which I don't speak. He finally said in English, we do not take this. He Paid NOTHING.
Regards,
***** *******
