I think employees/ owner of Dave’s Towing need an IRS audit. The guy said I had to pay $100 cash on the spot for him to let go of my car or it would be towed. Where did the $100 go? I’m sure it’s being pocketed as they are predatory in latching onto cars. My son took 2 steps off a parking lot to get money from me across the street and the guy locked my son’s car within 1 minute. It’s a crime. Dave’s Towing needs some serious management of how they handle “business” or ripping innocent people off

This towing company service is horrible. Kept my car and I came to get it out but my car didn’t start because bad camshaft position sensor. They used forklift pickup and cracked my car oil pan and set at gate. I called the next day asked to speak with Dave about the matter, but the lady at service asked for my phone# so the forklift driver can call me. After I give my cell# and then the lady told me don’t call back again. The forklift driver never call. No one call. Right thing never been done.

My experience was HORRIBLE I had literally been parked 20 minutes max my car was towed to their lot we got there right behind the tow truck driver when I called to find my vehicle they said and I quote”$165.00 full cash. Like I would be getting someone out of jail! When I told them we had the cash to get the car back they said I would need proof of ownership I proceeded to tell them it was in the car I have the only keys a insurance card and the rest was in the vehicle. Since it had not been transferred I had all the paperwork in the vehicle. They also told me I was not the owner. This went on for three days the price went from $165.00 to $455.00 with the receipt saying $255.00. They also said the car would not be released without it being transferred, tagged and proof of insurance shown. I had to get the seller to go there with his license and they still wouldn’t release it said he needed proof of ownership which was in the vehicle later the same day I received a text from seller stating to go back to Dave’s before 5 once I got there they were ready for me to pay before I got to see the vehicle or get the paperwork. They released my vehicle without transfer tag or insurance receipt states owner said I could get the paperwork out well once I got to my car the window was broken driver side rear door nothing was stolen but the only file out of my briefcase was the paperwork on the sale pertaining to who owned it. The lady in the office said they had requested a title to be sent from the department of motor vehicles in Frankfort. They allowed me to leave without showing proof of anything I tagged I transferred and no insurance card was asked for. They told my friend that someone enters their lot most every night and they have him on surveillance he has a fetish for breaking windows and messing up the inside of cars she also stated that they are not responsible for damage or theft that occurs on their lot. Hmmm I even called the police and had them speak to them.

These drivers wait outside of restaurants and clubs in the Highlands and Germantown watching for people parking in lots that are obviously closed at night. They hook your vehicle up to tow and if you're lucky enough to get there before they leave they will demand cash to release it. If you are one of the not so lucky ones who actually have your vehicle towed you have to give them cash or use cash app, venmo, etc., they will not accept any other form of payment to release or go back and get your vehicle to return it to you. They will not give you any receipt or paperwork showing the transaction was made or that you paid. They carry firearms and let you know. In our experience the tow driver literally gripped his that was in his pocket and let us know he was "packing". The night we dealt with them, we spoke with several others who had also had the same experience. Some paid as much as $170 to have their vehicle released. Per law they are required to provide you with a receipt of payment as well as allowing you to pay at a later time. They cannot demand cash on site. If you arrive before your vehicle has been removed from the property they must release it to you without immediate payment. These drivers are running a cash scam on unsuspecting people. I've done my research now and will be reporting all of what has happened to me as well as several other people whom I have statements from and cash app screenshots showing the personal account the cash went to. When you attempt to contact the business the owner actually belittles you! Definitely not a reputable company.
