Back in May of 2021 I put $470 dollars down (layaway) on a $1800 dollar rifle, the layaway was good till August of 2021, in that time period I had a close family member become severely ill from Covid 19, and in August of that year she passed, it really affecting me and I kinda forgot about the layaway, until a month ago when I went to Shade Tree and I asked them what my options were and the owner basically said I lost all that money and I couldn't use it to buy something else in the store, they also stated I signed a receipt about there layaway policy, and when I asked them to produce me a copy of it, it just had my info, but in the signature box nothing was signed, ( I do have a copy of this). I just don't want other people to make the same mistake I did.
