This business parked multiple heavy duty vehicles on my street blocking access to homes that were not his customer. Instead of 'inconveniencing' himself or his customer, this business took advantage of people that were not even part of the work being done. They damaged property and the street. Their equipment leaked all over the street and the ramps of the trailer carrying their heavy equipment made divets in the asphalt on my road. We called and spoke to the owner who said he would come out and look at the damage, but then he never showed up or returned our call. If they don't make this right, I will have to report to the city works commission as I also have video.

******** called and said we made a small rut in the grass in between the main highway and side street. ( owned by city not him )He wanted us to come back and roll the grass area. We parked on the side street cause it was on a major highway same as all company’s working on main highways. He said that he owned a landscaping buisness and was suppose to give me a quote on him fixing small area of grass. I never heard back from him so I thought he didn’t worry about it since he was overreacting. He was just upset we parked on his street. Just as the roofers did that was working on his house and he does daily when he is cutting customers lawns. As far as the spots on the road they will disappear after a few rains and I’m sure some was already there. when working on main highways we have to keep safety of our employees and others using road. I will offer an apology for inconvenience.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

First, I never called and spoke to anyone about this, so obviously another neighbor was equally upset and mine was not an "overreaction" as he discounts my response.  Evidently, this business is ALWAYS unprofessional as I did speak to one of the truck drivers that described himself as "I'm just a stupid truck driver, you need to talk to someone in charge", so when I asked for the person in charge he said he would be there later and he would send them to talk with me.  No one ever showed up.

And as far as "the way we always do when we are on a main hghway"....this is NOT a main highway, it is a 2 lane road, and where they parked was a private access road for use by residents on this side of the street and is clearly marked as such.  What he was actually avoiding was paying for a traffic control company to direct traffic which I'm sure is the "proper professional business" way to manage the situation instead of taking advantage of our access roadway and blocking any actual residents business.  For example, several garbage companies are used by residents on our access road.  in the garbage companies contract, it states that if they cannot access the trash cans, they do not have to serve us.....so, by blocking our street with their equipment as they did, they more than likely caused several people to not get their garbage picked up that day.  That is only one example.  I know one of the residents does have a lawn care business and he had a difficult time even getting his equipment into his own driveway because MVP's equipment was blocking our access.

It is obvious from the response that this company does NOT care about the public in general and is only interested in making a dollar and moving on.  the neighbor that did call said that the 'owner' was going to come out and inspect and work out a resolution.  I am sure this is the same 'lip-service' as the response I received here.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****
