As a customer for the past 18 years, I have been highly disappointed with the service from Jessamine South Elkorn Water. I tried calling to pay my bill for almost two weeks before finally being able to get in touch with someone. I called multiple times before their end of day, at 4:11 pm, 4:09 pm, 3:30 pm (all examples on different days) and would get the answering service that tells you the business is closed. Once getting ahold of someone today, the woman told me she had no missed calls from me (basically calling me a liar about my previous calls) and told me she had no clear resolution or reason as to why the answering service has been on at random times. She also stated that they have made every effort to answer their phones, although she stated she had 99 missed calls from being closed on Friday to observe Veteran's Day. However, I tried calling on Thursday, 11/9 at 3:30 to get their answering service and then had to resort to calling their emergency line to try and take care of this. I still could not pay the bill and was told to wait until Monday when someone would call me. I got no call. So, now I've had to pay the late fees or was told I would eventually get put on the disconnect list once the fees increased monthly from refusing to pay late fees. I should not be penalized for their actions in leaving work early and turning on their phone system. Or whatever reason they have for the answering service to be working well before their end of hours timeframe. I am upset that I have to stay with this company, not having another option for a water company when I have previously had other negative experiences. They previously tried charging me inaccurately and I've had to dispute ridiculous amounts of bills. Jessamine County residents need a water company that works their full given hours or have the opportunity to change companies for better service.
