Carpet One put new vinyl plank flooring down in our home. Within months, the flooring started popping up at the seams. We both have neuropathy in our feet so this was difficult to walk across. The flooring was under warranty so we asked them to replace the flooring. They came out and looked at it and they said that they felt like it was faulty product. They wanted someone from the distribution company to come and look at it. The distribution company felt like it was installed incorrectly. After quite some time, Carpet One agreed to honor our warranty and replace the flooring. They had showed us how the joints of the flooring previously installed were very thin and they didn't recommend relaying the exact same flooring. They had a different floor with better joints that we agreed to have them lay for the warranty replacement. They started laying the new flooring and after getting 2 rooms done they advised us that it was the wrong type of floor all together and that we need to lay a floor that is much more expensive(that we would have to pay for) if iur structure was not fitting for the floor we bought, they should have never laid that flooring in the first place. They stopped work mid replacement and refuse to finish it. At this point in time, I have part of the old floor down, part of the new floor down, and parts of the house has no flooring on it at all. They then tried to say that they sub floor had been wet when the flooring was laid and then it dried out causing the problem. We advised them that if that had been the case, they should have never laid the flooring. We had the engineer also come to the house to meet with them and when that theory was disputed they moved on to the latest excuse that the house had shifted. The engineer is also a member of the BBB and he suggested that because they both were BBB members they could request mediation and **** from Carpet One said "NO" after much review, we feel like it is thier responsibility to honor the warranty.
