Bought a new atv from this business with 12 month warranty. Have 2-1/2 months left called in for warranty and they say they don’t have a mechanic and was very rude, ask them if they would extend my warranty if they hadn’t got a mechanic by the time warranty expired and they said no!!!Initial Complaint

We own a ****************** we took it to the business we bought it from because of some issues it was having and it being under warranty steel that we paid for. When we dropped it off we was told the repair shop was about a month behind so we knew it should have been started being worked on in July when we called they told us there was stuff wrong with it that wasn't covered in the warranty that was wrong with but yet this was something we wasn't having problems with being the reason we had brought it in. So another month goes by we called again to check on it and it still was being worked on no one still had called so in September I called again they told me that there was stuff they found wrong that the warranty will cover and they was working on it but now it's the end of December and no one has yet called us the whole time to let us know any of this we have had to call to check on it.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/01/18) */ In response to Case ********* ***** ******, Extreme Powersports notified the customer that we originally were behind in our service department and that it would take time to get to their repairs. The customer decided to leave the unit for repairs. When we did get to diagnose the unit, we notified the customer that the wheel bearing and rear break caliber needed repairs and were under warranty. The customer was also notified the items needed to repair the unit were on backorder. There is currently a shortage of inventory parts across most brands, due to COVID. It is completely out of our store's control when the backordered items are shipped to us to complete the warranty repairs. As soon as we received the items to repair the customer's unit, we did so and notified the customer. In regards to the items that were not covered under warranty, these were the break pads and break line and are considered normal wear and tear items and the customers responsibility to replace. They were notified that these items are not under warranty and that is the customer's responsibility to change those regularly, as needed. This is normal upkeep of any vehicle. The repairs were made and the customer has since picked up the unit on 12/22/2021. We strive to make our customer's happy and completed the work as soon as we possibly were able to do so.
