I sell vintage stereo equipment and frequently I run across scammers although I’ve ran across people that I thought to be scamming and weren’t it’s a never a certainty.. So the case I’m dealing with is I took a check to my bank Independence bank and made the teller aware of the possibility of the check being bad or fraudulent.. And told them to make sure it clears.. well a few days passed and I called the bank and asked if the check had cleared and they said yes.. And I was very surprised that it did so I preceded with with drawing some funds to send back to them because they had some excuse about payment being sent by mistake by some employee.. so because I was relying on the banks assurance that the check was good I followed out the instructions of the buyer and sent them their money back with postal money orders..so the person was setting up for someone they called movers coming to pick up the equipment. The next day the bank calls the check was no good..Business response

[Yes the Bank representatives and I have come to a Mutual agreement on the issue of complaint..This however doesn’t eliminate overall how the banks mistreatment in the matter should be addressed for future customer’s.. They basically tried to force the blame towards me and that showed a lack of care for individual customers who relies on institutions knowledge of such issues retaining to fraud.. Basically instead of reprimanding one of their employees just get rid of customer.. The bank and any other Corporation wouldn’t exist without the people..That’s all I have to say about this.. Thank you and the BBB for your support in this matter.. The bank probably would have just left me hanging without any resolution..]
