I hired McIntosh Septic and Excavating to install a new septic system at my property in Kentucky. I hired them in October of 2021. I was promised every week from the end of October on they would get my system installed that week. After hounding them for months my system was installed March 18, 2022. I do not reside in state so I was unable to be there at the install. I was assured that the old tank had been removed and the new system was in place but we would need topsoil trucked in to complete the system because the lines were not placed where they were originally approved. I have since arrived at the property, as we are selling the property in question, and we are still waiting on topsoil more than 7 weeks later. I have been given every possible excuse mostly related to weather. It has been very wet but in the time I have been here there have been several occurrences that McIntosh could have come out. I was told they would be out one week but they simply did not show or respond to any contact attempts. I was told they needed 3 dry days and this has occurred several times since I have arrived at the property. They refuse to answer my calls or text messages. I have also discovered that they damaged the drain line to my basement drain and water now backs up in the basement when it rains. They have not responded to my request for them to repair this issue. My property was left a complete mess with litter from their lunches and pvc pipes smashed and spread all over an acre of land. Old pipes were just left at the side of the property. It also appears as if they did not remove the old tank like they assured me. I still do not have an approved system from the county because they have not brought the topsoil out. I have paid for all work that has been done in full. I do not know what to do to get this company to respond and be held accountable to complete the job.
