In or about the end of 2022 or the first of 2023, I had my windows replaced by window world. Shortly after, one of the screen release pin springs popped out rendering pin and screen nonfunctional. Window world replaced all screens with a pull tab type. These screens fit too tightly in the frame and pull tabs came completely out when attempting to remove. The mesh on all of these screens except 2-3 was brittle and tearing, as well. About a month ago, screens were replaced again with pull tab screens although I requested screens with pins like originals as they are a sturdier design. Today, I attempted to remove a screen and, again, pull tabs came completely out leaving screen stuck in window. All other screens I tried did the same thing. I also had a sliding glass door replaced. The screen on it has also torn. The inside strip of plastic at bottom of door which is stapled to flooring is coming up. There is a gap between the floor and the plastic strip. The stables are unsightly and catch on a mop. Since it is stapled to the current floor, it will create additional issues when floors are replaced next year. These things were supposed to have been corrected when they replaced the screens but were not. I would like defective screens replaced with pin type screens like the original ones that correctly fit frames as the pull tab design proves defective. I would like glass door screen and inside plastic strip repaired or replaced as previously discussed. It is frustrating that the screen issue has gone on this long without being resolved. I was told my account was being transferred to another Window World office. I am concerned this may cause accountability issues which will affect problem resolution.Business response

Window World has been in constant communication to resolve *** ********** issues. October 26, 2023- all window screens and one patio door screen was reordered and replaced. November 9, 2023- more screens were reordered and replaced. In addition, a few sashes were also reordered and replaced. All reorder issues were due to factory defect...
March 5, 2024- *** ******** called again regarding 12 damaged screens. The damaged screens are not due to factory defect and are not warrantied. They are currently on reorder and will be replaced once we receive the screens. *** ******** will not be charged for the replacements.
March 19, 2024-Window World reached to *** ******** in an attempt to resolve any more issues that she may have. To date, March 21, 2024, *** ******** has not responded to our call.

Screens were originally replaced due to defective materials sourced during COVID as per Window World office. The tabs completely pulled out of the screen just as they are now leaving screen stuck in windows. Mesh was brittle and tearing. There was nothing brushing against the screens to have torn them. The screens replaced in March still do not fit the windows. They are too large and cannot be removed from the window. The pull tabs pull completely out when trying to remove the screen. The installer even commented that he didn’t know why this type screen was reorder because they do not fit and the tabs to remove them are useless since they pull completely out of the screen leaving the screen stuck in the window. I wanted to give the screens the benefit of the doubt hoping they were better quality as promised by the office staff but I was wrong. The tabs have all pulled out and screens are all stuck in the windows. the mesh is not damaged so it has improved. I am requesting screens that fit the windows and can be removed when needed. I am just now receiving messages as I have been out of the country. I spoke with someone at the office before leaving. I requested that they come measure the frames so that the proper size screen can be ordered. I will return their call Fri or Mon.Business response
