Contractor was committed to tearing down 121’ chain-link fence and replacing with new chain-link fence with 2 double gates. The fence was completed on 6/25 in the afternoon. The contractor said the concrete for the post needs to dry 24 hours, so I did not touch the fence. The following day I took a close look at the fence and realized the contractor cut every corner possible. There was a very small amount of concrete for each fence post, missing hardware, uneven chain link mesh, the chain link tension wire was not buried like I requested, the chain link not even on any elevation. I gave contractor directions on the fence repair, and he did not follow. I explained I was going to reuse the fence out in the country, but he chopped off all the fence post with a saw so now they are unusable for reusing the fence. Then contractor destroyed the shrubs interlaced to the fence by Air conditioning unit compressor, approximately 7’ of shrubs. The welding he did to make the gates is not worth paying for almost like the first time ever to weld 17-gauge metal. Its sloppy to say the least, I have pictures to support my claim. The business was called several times with no answer, left several messages. Contractor sent txt message on 7/2 still will not answer phone. Contractor texted for me to send pictures of fence. I don’t want contractor back out her except for him to refund $ so I can hire a new contractor to do the job correctly. Ive had several contractors look at the fence and all laughed and asked me if the contractor knew what he was doing? That is the level of poor workmanship provide by the contractor. I would hate to know how many people the has done this service to in the past. Contractor was referred to me thru Angie's List.
