Contacted Southern Air because commodes not flushing and bathtub not draining. Had coupon for $99, drain fixed or it was free. Fact that camera was being used was added incentive. Tech, Trevor **********, was sent out same day (May 22, 2024. Informed Tech problems with commode and tube. Asked me to eSignal his IPad that I agree to him unstopping drains, stated that work was already performed to my satisfaction, and that I agreed to $99 dollar fee.Inquired about statement saying work already "satisfactory" done when not even started. Trevor stated it really was giving him permission to do work. Tech set about clearing commode and tube, came back inside and made a big deal of flushing toilet, even filming it flushing with his pad. Since he requested payment "before" work done, he left but returned five minutes later to get another picture of the same toilet flushing. After he left I realized that the full bath had not been checked with me. I checked bathroom and nothing was working. I immediately called Southern Air, Trevor returned, and after 20/30 minutes admitted he could not fix the problem, would have to send camera man out. I thought that was his job. Camera Tech came out as did his boss and stated I needed "main line jetting", price $1332. Assured this would solve problem. Did not solve problem--they needed to dig trench and replace piping. Dug up my yard on day forecast for heavy thunderstorms. Arrived at 8:25, rain started around 9am, workers (4 or5) sitting in trucks, 12:25 Tech Anthony ****** at door, calling it a day due to thunder/lightning, too dangerous with backhoe. Still having same problems, sent me a bill for inept workers/work. Calls to Southern Air they're going to call our City water dept for suggestion. Don't return call on what they plan to do to solve issue.Review from Wendy W

I had service last year 2023 and the plumber took my check in good faith that I would come to the office with an updated check for payment of services. As promised to Nicole, I dropped my updated payment to the office staff who was sitting around in the dark. The office staff promised to relate my information to Nicole the next morning and have my updated check submitted for payment and rip up the original payment. The message did not get to Nicole and she deposited my original payment which caused several NSF's. Two weeks later, Vicki calls to ask what to do with the updated payment. I was furious. She called back stating she spoke to TIM the manager and he told her I would be granted a refund of the NSF fee's and I had two options for the refund. 1 to have a check written and mailed or 2 use the refund toward my amount due. I chose to have the credit applied to what was due. This was also agreed with Tim as long as I supplied bank statements as proof of the NSF fees. I brought to the office copies of my bank statements, however, the refund was never applied. I kept calling for updates, but was told Vicki, Nicole or Tim would call me back. Tim finally called me back and said he needed the information from my bank. I told him I had already dropped the information off, but agreed to drop it off again in hopes this would be resolved. Upon calling this year to get service on my unit, I was told there was a hold on my account due to the outstanding payment owed. I asked if the refund had been put in place, and of course once again, NOTHING had been done. I received a call from Levi ****** who promised he would fix this problem. He gave me his email address in order to send him the information of my situation as well as copies of the NSF fees. I emailed him in May 2024 with all pertinent information. I emailed him 3 times. AS of date, I have not heard from him or anyone else at Southern Air. The office can not be diligent with their promisesReview from Craig M

The practice of charging $50.00 service fee even though I cancelled within 1 hour is not right. You could not come until Monday (I called on Saturday) and it was very hot and humid. Some leeway should be followed, a different company came within 2 hours. Disappointing.Review from Debbie C

Sorry to say but I will never use ACS in Tulsa again nor will I recommend them. A tech came out two weeks ago to do a yearly check. There is an issue with the unit and he said someone would get with me the following Monday with estimate. No call or email so we called the next day and left a message. Again, no call nor e-mail. Called again and left another message, twice. No call nor e-mail. Very unprofessional not to respond They are glad to take your money but nothing else. Very disappointed in them. Do your homework. After using Southern air for many things in my home, I felt that the company was a good choice. Wish I would have read more reviews. Southern Air came out to replace a main Sewage line,from the house to the street. Everything was going well until they got over their head. I wound up with a 12 foot hole in my yard, and having to figure out what was going on since No one would tell us anything. My yard was torn apart, left open for a week and the city finally came to my aid and helped. Southern Air must have thought that they did a good job, Not. Once they finished the new layout and put the dirt back into the 12 foot hole my yard is still torn up and now due to them not doing things correctly the rain has caused the hole to open back up. I have called letting them know that they need to come fix this problem but have yet to hear back from them. It's been a week. But hey I got the city out on the first day letting me know what they could do. Southern Air is a joke, will charge you and take your money along with telling you what they will do, knowing it's a lie. I will be calling a lawyer if this doesn't get fixed. The technicians are nice and helpful but the management and higher ups don't care enough to really take care of their customers. Stay away, I'm sure I will be left with putting my yard back together and filling a hole so no one gets hurt.Review from Steven L

I recently had a routine heating inspection. The technician recommended replacing a circuit breaker (that had never tripped or failed) and installing a float cut-off switch (in addition to the two already in place). The circuit breaker replacement was billed at $369.00, and the float switch billed at $229.60. I later discovered that the breaker retail cost is about $37.00, and the float switch retail cost is about $28.00. That is a price markup above retail (NOT wholesale!) of ten times. This is excessive. I recognize the cost of inventory and having parts available, so a markup of 2 or 3 would be understandable. When I complained, I was given a 10% discount on the cost. Still, I feel this is price gouging and is a poor business ethic.Review from Zachary V

We got a flyer for no interest, no payments for 18 months. We got a quote for them to replace a 2 ton unit, they wanted $8,675. We told them they were high, we had another quote for $6,600 to replace the system. They said they would match it, came in and did the work. Signed us up for a credit card and paid themselves without our involvement. fast forward 6 months, still no working heat and we have a winter storm bearing down on us. They won't fix it because it wasn't one of the parts they replaced (because they chose not to replace the whole system, only parts) The credit card they opened in our name is threatening to involve the credit companies because they want monthly payments. Every time we try to speak with someone with ACS, we get a service rep who can't do anything and his superiors won't answer his phone call, and they won't give us they're direct number.Review from Kim D

From the office staff to all the plumbers and techs, Hi Tech provided courteous, efficient, and professional service. We have used their services for both slab leaks and an entire repiping of the house. Joshua, Kael, Hunter, Weston, Eric, and all the other plumbers did a superb job answering our questions, explaining the process, and performing the work. They attended to details beyond what was required. Their pricing quote was exactly what they charged with no surprises. We were amazed at their diligent work ethic and expertise. Do not do business with this company. They are dishonest and incompetent. We have had a maintenance contract with them since they acquired American Comfort Systems, our previous maintenance company. They recently did our annual maintenance check and told us our Ultraviolet Dual Bulb needed to be replaced and it would cost $470. We called the office. They said they would replace it under the warranty and order the part. They said they needed to send another tech to get the part number. But they installed the bulb and their tech just left. Why didn't they have the part number? The second tech came and told us it would cost $216 to replace since it was under the warranty. That's what we paid to install it less than 11 months ago. After some days, we called they office. They never ordered the part. They said their supplier was "pushing back." Since when does a supplier tell a company how to conduct their business? We are foregoing the remainder of our maintenance contract with them because we do not want them back in our home. They do not honor warranties even when they are in writing. We do not expect them to honor the other warranties we purchased from American Comfort Systems. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
