I’m from Texas and I was served with paperwork close to 9 pm with this company. Also, I owe them 3,395 I was only late a three months since I’m dealing with hard times and I been having to have three surgeries since I opened up this account. I understand people have hard times I have even spoke with them several times that I’m having a financial bind and it was like they understood and they told me I can go up there to fill out paperwork and my payment lower a day before getting served I feel like this business isn’t very customer friendly because the person I talked to seemed like they were laughing at me before they picked up the phone.

This company started calling me incessantly day and night starting one day after the agreed upon monthly payment date. I had always paid on time, but has run into a problem starting that month. My wife who worked for collections was shocked how aggressive they were indicating they usually wait to call you like that for a bit. Fast forward to recently and they started harassing my references, calling them incessantly too. One finally answered and to quote my reference about the call, "he said he was calling from a finance company in St.Peters, MO". That tells him it is just one of maybe a few companies and the nature of the issue--debt collection. Furthermore, "The guy said you used my name as a reference". I don't think they can identify the reference as a reference in an attempt to collect a debt. Needless to say, I am seeking legal advice. They humiliated me to a friend all but telling them what it was about rather than just confirming what my reference had as my contact information.

They was paid in full 2300$ chapter 13 but lawyer for Republic finance continue to say client owed more money $2800. That was a lie. Client, lawyer and Republic finance lawyers said client old $1000 in a second bankruptcy In the eastern District of Louisiana. complaint was filed against the attorney disciplinary counsel say they didn’t find any wrong doing.

Horrible. Interests rates are higher than a Indian fly night loan company. If you're late on a single payment you get letters in the mail from your local sheriff's office letting you know they're taking legal action. Will not work with you when you call them. And that's if you can even get them to answer the phone. Republic Finance is simply a company that found ways to use the legal system to their advantage to scam people out of money.

I was going through hard times and decided to work with debt settlement. At the end of last year a settlement was made after I was served papers for a court date. I quickly signed my paperwork and returned to republic as instructed. Last month I got paperwork for a court date. Imagine my confusion as I've been making my payments since January as per the settlement agreement. I called and had a terrible experience with the legal department who told me that the address I had didn't exist even though it's on the legal documents from the office. Since I've been trying to get someone to call me back and let me know what if anything I need to do as I was told they didn't have my agreement signed. This is not at all how a person should be treated. I fully understand and want to pay my debts and trust going the debt settlement route wasn't a easy decision for me. I don't know if I have legal action against republic at this point but trust I will now be seeking any avenue I have as apparently this company is attempting to take the money I'm paying and attempt other avenues for more which seems fraudulent to me.

Tired to renew a loan which I had paid over 3500.00 twice and was told both times to make a couple more payments because there wasn't nothing they could do for me. Been a loyal customer for over 5 years never missed a payment and never late. This is the worst company to do business with.

Yes, this company practices "predatory lending". I was sent to legal action for missing two payments. I wasn't informed. I had been making regular payments but they wouldn't remove the legal action even though the paper work had just been sent. They had it written down that I was evading the process server when I wasn't even served and was unaware of any one coming to serve me. I continued making payments. I went to the court hearing unaware I could should have made a statement to the court within 20 days. The Debt Attorney they use said he wasn't aware of any payments I made however when I spoke to the branch manager she stating all that paperwork was sent over. It wasn't showing as a status of collection because I was making, regular timely payments. When I had to go to court they closed the account and filed with credit bureau as a collection account... I'm furious. I paid over 700.00 on a 1300.00 loan. I was almost done paying... Now I'm told I owe 1900.00 even after all the money I have paid... And they told me I only paid 500.00. Stay away!!!! This company has ruined me! She because I had surgery and needed a little help now I owe even more.. Read the fine print... Look at the interest rate and interest they want to charge... They are very predatory and do not care about you. Beware!!!!

If you want to get a loan out from this company, this Loans shark interest accrues What Is the Rule of 78? The Rule of 78 is a method used by some lenders to calculate interest charges on a loan, most of what you pay goes to Interest, Not the principle so you are getting it going and coming DO NOT TAKE A LOAN OUT HERE
