On February 1st Red Stick roofing began work on our home. They were to remove an existing patio covering and extend our roofline to cover two additions that currently had a flat roof covering. The work was completed and we made several attempts to get Red Stick to address issues with the work. Several calls and even visits from the company and nothing had been done. We have had two other roofing contractors come out to inspect the job and they agree that the job is subpar. I’ve contacted **** ******* several times since the beginning of May and now am not getting any return contact. I am also complaining to the Louisiana Contractors Board. I would like the job done the right way.

Dear Better Business Bureau,
We have acknowledged and completed all the repairs as requested. We removed 15 squares of shingles, 10 pieces of decking, and 80 ft. of metal fascia wrap, installed it all, and finished it on August 1, 2024.
After completion of the requested repairs yesterday, the customer came up with an additional punch list which includes nailing some soffit ceiling and straightening it out. I need more time to complete that request. Please extend our completion response to this complaint to next Friday, August 9, 2024.Initial Complaint

I hired Red Stick Restoration to replace my old roof in July of 2021. The contract states a warranty of 5 years for installation labor. The recent bad storms in Baton Rouge 1/29/23 revealed two large leaks. Water is seeping through my air vent and in to a bedroom. This damage is the result of poor installation of the shingles and nothing more. I have left approximately 5 phone messages since Sunday 1/29/23 and an email to the owner Greg English without one, single reply. The main office number goes straight to voicemail no matter the time of day when calling during printed business hours. I even reached out to my old salesperson, who no longer works for the company but was helpful with getting me to the right person. This is unacceptable. All I want is for a repair to made to my less than 2 year old roof before more damage is done to the interior of my home. I spent quite a bit of money to have the job done right. Thank you in advance for your help in resolving this matter fairly.Business response

Spoke to Mr. English on 4/13. He stated he has not received any phone calls from homeowner. He stated he would be calling her today to discuss and resolve issue.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18965476. Although, ****** response of having not ever received a call is inaccurate, I informed him that the issue was resolved by his office weeks ago. This case is closed.
