July 26,2023 I shopped at Specialized Sports for a pool table. I emphasized that I wanted a one piece slate pool table. I shared with the owner (*****) that I had previously owned a one piece slate pool table in the past and it stayed level and it did not have any bumps because it didn't have any seems since it was a one piece slate. ***** insisted that his Brunswick 3 piece slate table would give me the same result by staying level and not have any bumps where the seems meet. After being guaranteed that the table would be as satisfactory as a one piece slat table I purchased a new 3 piece slate 8 foot Brunswick pool table and a wall mount Brunswick pool cue holder. The table was delivered a week later to my home by *****'s son and a helper. The three pieces of slate were joined together by applying a hot wax then scraping off the excess. Then the simonis top cloth was stapled and the side rails were attached that had already been covered at the shop. the rails were sagged and not tight so the material was loose. The table's cloth was cut and stapled in so many places all that you could see was staples showing everywhere. I had dried wax all over my wood floor and a mess to clean up after they left. After they left I immediately called ***** describing what I had observed as an amateur job. He assured me that he would send them back out and correct the problems. After a couple of weeks they came back with new side rails because the first ones that they installed they chipped the wood in numerous places. They also had to recover the table with new cloth because they also ruined it making too many cuts and using too many staples. The table was so uneven that we couldn't enjoy playing with friends. They have been to my house a total of 4 times to get the table even and the ridges smoothed at the seems and it still has bumps where the wax seems meet. There is something wrong with the table or the installers. Each time the installers leave me a mess.
