My Husband is in the market for a Crosstrek after our cars flooded in May of 2021. He first contacted Baldwin ****** in early June 2021 He was informed at that time that they were not taking deposits for cars in the "pipeline" because they could not be sold before they arrive because of the shortage. He was told that what they were doing instead was a waiting list and that he could be the first one on the list for a yellow Crosstrek that was to be delivered by July 11th. so he got on the list and sent in his information for his credit application and stayed in touch with his sales rep. he was even informed that it had been delayed and that it would not be in until July 21st (which we were frustrated about but understanding) so at this point he has been waiting almost 6 weeks. Then yesterday he gets a Text from the sales person letting him know that the Owner of the dealership has sold the car that has still yet to arrive and that my husband is out of luck, 2 days before the supposed delivery date. When we were able to speak to the sales manager ******, who was very rude, we were informed that the Owner is the Owner and he can do whatever he wants so .... he then says that we can order a Crosstrek if we want and he will give us $1000 off and that the turn around on that is 6-8 weeks (which is a lie. I have now spoken to other dealerships and ****** National and the turnaround is at least 12 weeks right now on Orders) At this point I would recommend that no one purchase anything from this dealership unless they have it sitting right in front of them as this has been a terrible ordeal after already dealing with a flood.We chose to go with a different dealership.
