As with other reviews listed, we too have made a deposit in Feb 2022, and have yet to get any information about installation. Permit office says there are no delays in issuing permits, in fact, they are approving those permits faster than others. We are first responders/front line workers and would have expected better service There are people in our neighborhood that only have a 2-week turn around with other companies for installation. No response from office or the usual response of "we will check into it and call you back". No return call yet..Review from Kenneth A.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. Signed a contract 11/21. Was told there was about a 6 month wait. After 6 months started calling them and they either would not answer or when they did they gave excuses. Its a year now and still no generator. Noone even has the decency to call you. We apologize for the long installation lead time. It is just a fact today that the inability to scale up our installation crews has impacted our installation lead time. We still have the same great crews. It is that with the workforce issue in the US today makes adding to these talented installers difficult at best. This is a national problem. After *** there was an incredible demand for Whole House generators. At that time, you couldn't even get a generator, now they are no problem to get. So the issue has become increasing our installation crews. That said here is why everyone has stayed with us and have been incredibly patient. We have the lowest issues with our installed base of generators compared to any other Generac Powerpro Dealer. in 17 years of installing generators, we have only had 15 engine failures and 3 alternators. That is incredibly low in comparison to the other dealers. The reason for such low numbers is the fact that our installers have gone to ************** and are certified. Then every two years they are recertified. We are the only Dealer who has their installers Generac certified. The final reason is we have installed 52 generators since ***. Normally we would be over 100 plus generators installed. Some of the code changes and changes in the permitting process have increased a generator installation from its normal 2.5 days to 5 to 6 days. The scope has changed on a lot of jobs because of the code requirements for new distances from openings. So, the impact of all of these variables has impacted our install times. We apologize for these long lead times and appreciate everyone's patience.Review from Louis J

I have repeatedly tried to arrange for service on my home generator. I have talked to their answering service and to a lady in their office who schedules service calls. I have even written a letter to their service manager but received no response from any of the above. This adventure began back in May and now we are almost at the end of July. I am not a new customer. They have performed maintenance on my generator in the past.Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc. Response

************ we apologize for the delay in responding. It is our intent to reply to all requests for service timely. we have added another **************** Representative and that has helped in removing some of the bottle neck we were having with the large demand for generator servicing. We have added another Generac certified technician to our staff to assist in handling the demand and that has made a big improvement in our response time. The lack of a qualified workforce in ********* and the south has continued to plague us from scaling at the pace we need to. We have been working tirelessly to find qualified candidates that can assist in providing the quality service you and we expect to provide. We appreciate your patience as we work through these constraints affecting businesses today. We have made inroads and improvements to our operation but are far from where we want to be.Review from William K

Terrible company to do business with! Signed contract for whole home generator 2/14/21, told of supply issues & should have generator delivered in July. Called them & was told generator was in & would set up install. Ida disrupted everything. Began trying to get product installed in November. Their sales dept requested copy of property survey which was provided to them on 12/9/21. In January 2022 began calling again to inquire as to install date. Told was at top of the list & install would be soon. February 14, 2022, a full year after contract signed, STILL no generator. Told that site inspection needed to be done by Kenner to approve placement, which was done. I made trip to Kenner code office & provided permit application & site inspection was scheduled, and approved before Mardi Gras. Still no update from this company. Was informed by Kenner permit office that permit was issued & picked up, giving Comfort the green light to install. Was told 2 weeks ago there were 3 jobs ongoing & I was getting close.. Still nothing. Left message for owner, ****** *****, to call me 3/11/22 with no response. Today, 3/14/22 left another message for Mr. Perez to return call and I was requesting a refund of my $5000.00. Am tired of waiting for my generator. Have been told nothing but lies from this company. Not very trustworthy. I want my money refunded.Comfort Engineered Systems, Inc. Response

We have reached out to ************ and understand his frustration. The issue first started when the location we submitted to Kenner that the customer desired was denied. The location was some 85 feet to the back of the home and required all documentation to be resubmitted and for Kenner to return to the site and approve the new location. Then we were able to complete the Building permit. The Building permit is only one of three permits needed. We then needed to file a trade gas permit and then a trade electrical permit. The city of Kenner then places another burden on the project of requiring an inspection of the slab the generator will be placed on. This inspection is prior to use pouring the concrete. Once we had completed all of this permit process we needed to talk to ************ about the changes to the scope of work. That took us longer than expected and we apologize for the delay. As stated we have talked to ************ and he is ready to go.
