I got Lee’s Remodel to look at the damage inside of the shed and to replace the roof. He asked for $700.00 for parts and $700.00 for labor to get started. I said ok. The next day he said he needed $250.00 more for parts. I asked him “What the estimate was?” He didn’t say. Lee finished the job on a Friday and said the rest of the payment was $2800.00. Saturday it rained 2 1/2 inches and it leaked about 5 or 6 different places inside the shed. I called Lee and he said that he would come and look at it. He loosened one roof metal section and tightened it back up. He said he would come back tomorrow and work on it again but he did not show up. I called but couldn’t get him on the phone. I texted him. He said he was sick. He has not answered me yet.Business response

The customer mr ****** was not home due to my arrival. I've made many trips to make sure we cover all the warranty problems . Costumer modified roof on his own which voids warranty work . I can not do free labor. In his complaint he said " that he requested a material cost which he did not . His math isn't correct on job cost either. Feel free to reach out and contact me. I have to run a business and I plan to correct whatever it is that seems to be a problem. Thanks Lee's Remodel and Repairs LLC.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:He did not come to my house. I was there all the time. I was doing work on the inside of my house. I would have heard him drive up. I did not modify my roof. There was a couple of holes that were drilled into the roof that I put a bolt, washer and nut in each hole. He took one of the windows out and put it back in (the wood was rotted), it was leaking really bad, so I caulked around the window to seal it. I asked for an estimate not a materials list. My math on the cost goes like this: He asked me $700.00 for materials and $700.00 for labor. The next day he asked for additional $250.00. I gave him $50.00 in cash and wrote a check for $200.00. He never did give me an estimate. When he finished the job, he gave me the estimate: $4150.00. At the bottom of the estimate, he said I owed him $2800.00. I wrote a check for $2800.00. According to my math: $700.00+$250.00+$2800.00=$3750.00 I reject whatever he said and hope that he doesn’t rip off anyone else.
Sincerely,
****** Crout
