I have been a Green Seasons residential customer for seven years, at a cost of well over $600/month. Prior to that time, I personally maintained my lawn and landscaping. Over the years I have noticed a gradual loss of both my grass coverage and a degradation of shrubs, ornamentals and flower beds. Verbal complaints to field managers over that time did nothing to resolve this problem. A recent review of photos of my yard taken prior to 2017 confirmed the above issues. Consequently, I've asked Green Seasons to cancel my contract without the associated financial penalty it requires. After an initial assurance that this would likely be acceptable to management, I've heard nothing from them. I'd very much like a positive response, but as a long-time customer, I think I at least deserve a timely reply one way or another. Alternatively, I will pursue relief from the contract by the means described in it.Customer response

My dispute is with Green Seasons Lawn & Pest Services. They provide lawn and flower bed services for me 2 times a month. The bed service includes mulching 2 times a year and weed control along with the cleaning. For these services I pay $283.00 per month. Prior to me signing a contract with them in July, I requested that the salesperson give me her assurance that I be allowed to adjust the frequency of the cuts and bed cleanings. She assured that it would be no problem. We're in the middle of November, I have a clean but barren flower bed due to no mulching from Green Seasons. Although the salesperson did ask if I would have a problem delaying mulching. I'd assumed when they start mulching in the Fall, I would be a priority due to the flower bed being barren since July. With this delay in mulching, I've noticed that the flower beds weeds are nonexistent. Some of this possibly due to weed control and some to Fall temps. I asked that the salesperson reduce the the amount of flower bed cleanings to 1 time a month. She insisted that we only discussed mowing, which Green Seasons would reduce my bill by $25.00. After I forwarded a previous email stating her assurance to me that I be allowed to change the frequency of cuts and bed cleanings. She replied that Green Seasons would be happy to reduce the bed cleanings to 1 a month for $258.00, a $25.00 reduction in my bill. As stated earlier, I pay $283.00/ month for 2 bed cleanings/ 2 mows a month. And the amount for any service reduction is $25.00. The deceptive tactics used by Green Seasons to initially get me to sign a contract, no mulching services, nor the amount lowballed for services reduction should not be tolerated. Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/12/08) */ We only charge $25 per weed control, 2 visits per month, which comes to 24 visits total at $50 per month, which is factored into her $283 per month total. Per request-we have reduced her monthly bed weed control visits to one visit per month, at $25 per visit/month, so her new monthly amount is $258 per month. Per the schedule A and contract which was signed by the client, she gets once a year mulching in April. We went ahead and adjusted her schedule per her complaint to the BBB from a spring mulching to a fall mulching and completed the job on December 7th, 2021. Consumer Response /* (450, 15, 2021/12/20) */ Fall services were performed Dec. 7, 2021. Per Green Seasons representative, Green Seasons would follow-up with a mulch in the Spring.
