A note posted on the front door of the TLC Childcare & Learning Center on Wednesday (5/20/13) afternoon says, "We the staff of TLC Childcare & Learning Center want to let the parents know of an incident that occurred in our facility. We want to reassure parents that we at TLC Childcare strive to take care of your children as though they are our own. We want to assure you that the employees that were involved in the incident are no longer employed at our center. We want to make sure that the children in our care are being properly cared for at all time. We have a ZERO tolerance when it comes to anything that puts our children in harm's way.
We want to THANK YOU for trusting us to care for your child as you would."
The notice is signed by owner William Chase.
As of February 2014, the La. Department of Children and Family Services stated that this child care facility voluntarily closed.
On 5/20/13, the Better Business Bureau did an investigation on this business when notified that three day care workers were arrested after the Bossier Parish sheriff's detectives received a complaint of abuse, as reported in the Shreveport Times newspaper article dated 5/17/13.
