On 02/25/23, I started experiencing motor issues with the car. Returned the car to the dealership for repairs. I was contacted on 03/18/23, and they informed me the insurance for the vehicle had lapsed but also the issues of the motor had gotten worse than when I first brought it in. I was then advised , I could not retrieve my vehicle until the insurance was returned and updated for coverage. After obtaining the insurance, I sent in a copy of the bill of sale for proof. I was then informed , I could not retrieve my vehicle until I provided proof of my drivers license or I could bring someone else in with a valid license and an additional $1,000 to retrieve the car. And they also informed it’s still not fixed , the car will have to go to an actual dodge dealership. I requested a full refund of my down payment of $5000 plus the $1000 paid in advance for upcoming car payments that would be due. I was informed I could not have the car or a refund. They also have a form with my name printed , not signed , stating that I would return in 30 days with a valid license. I never printed or signed this form. The printed name doesn’t match my printed name or signature used on any documents.

I purchased a vehicle from this place with a down payment of 2500. Had the vehicle for a week it started to give me problems. I went to the local Orielly and had a diagnostic done. Stated high pressure fuel and tire pressure sensor. I came out of pocket myself to fix the issue. Two weeks later I made my first car note 3 days later the car was at Jimmy Grangler Natchitoches, La. They couldn't get to it due to the internet being down. I stopped on the road three times before I finally went to a repair shop. I was told by the mechanic the vehicle had locked up and wasn't moving. I called **** ***** at J&J and asked him to come and pick it up and to look at it because there was nothing the repair man could do. On Tuesday 03/15/23 I called **** back to see the progress of the vehicle. He told me he was under the impression I was turning the vehicle in. I told him I never stated I was turning in the vehicle I needed it fixed. He bluntly told me there was nothing he could do because it was sold as is. And I stated basically you sold me a lemon? He stated he would contact the owner and see what he could do. He got my number and didn't call me back the first time so I know there's no way he's gone call again

MS. ***** CALLED US AND SAID THE VEHICLE SHE PURCHASED BRAKES WERE LOCKED UP AND SHE WAS DONE WITH SHE DIDNT WANT TO PAY FOR

ANY REPAIRS OR TO TOW IT TO US SO WE COULD LOOK AT IT.  BEING THAT IT WAS IN HOUSE FINANCED WE PAID A TOW TRUCK TO HAVE IT TOWED FROM NATCHITOCHES TO

HAUGHTON. ONCE HER CAR WAS HERE WE CHECKED IT OVER AND TEST DROVE IT SEVERAL TIMES AND COULDNT DETERMINE THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM.  AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS MS. ***** STRANGELY

CALLED **** AGAIN AND ASKED IF HER CAR WAS READY, AS IF SHE HAD MADE SOME AGREEMENT FOR US TO TOW AND MAKE REPAIRS AT NO COST.  WHEN SHE VOLUNTARILY ABANDONED THE CAR WEEKS

PRIOR OUT OF TOWN.  I UNDERSTAND MS. ***** IS FRUSTRATED THAT SHE HAD TO PAY FOR A REPAIR, BUT WHEN PURCHASING HIGH MILEAGE VEHICLES ITS ALMOST ALWAYS INEVITABLE THAT YOU

WILL HAVE TO DO SO.  WHEN YOU CALL THE DEALER WHO SOLD YOU THE CAR WHO ALSO GAVE YOU THE LOAN AND TELL THEM IM DONE WITH IT COME AND GET IT YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO THE CAR

AND ANY MONIES YOU PAID TO THAT CAR.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The repair shop that I had the car at did the same exact thing this dealership did which was test drive it hit the brakes 150 on two different occasions which I came out of pocket. That would be at *****s in Natchitoches where I attend school. The repair man Mr ***** contacted GMC and they stated they would fix the recall on the car for free and the other fees would be out of pocket and that the car probably had been sold to me with them knowing the condition. He stated the brakes were going to lock up every time it was driven a certain distance and after a hour they would unlock. I said fine but let me call the Dealership to see if they would fix the other issue. I called and spoke with **** I told him the car had locked up and couldn’t be moved. He said to bring it in. I stated it would not move. He said he would get someone to pick it up. On that Monday when I returned to school I noticed the vehicle was not there. I called J&J Bargain and was given the run around if not being able to speak to him. I called that next day and finally spoke with him. He stated they had to look further into the vehicle to see what was wrong with it. I stated okay let me know and gave home my number. After a week of them not calling me back I called myself once again and spoke with ****. He stated it was going to need some repairs. I stated I wouldn’t be able to pay my $500 car note and the repairs at the same time but I would pay my note first and the repairs once they were done and if they couldn’t fix it give me another vehicle or at least a portion of my funds back and he said it didn’t work like that. I said well I need y’all to do something because I put 2500 down and paid my first car note at $500 and the car went out a week after that. He said he didn’t know how that would work so he needed to speak with the owner. Two weeks went by and no one called me. I went up there myself and got my things. I had a bottle of bleach in a crate in the trunk and they had thrown my bleach and belongings in a trash bag together. I asked the guys out back was **** there and they looked at me crazy. I never stated I was forfeiting over a vehicle I only had a month. I test drove the car with no lights, I hadn’t made it out of Shreveport before 3 lights came on which I paid out of pocket for. They sold me a lemon.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

We purchased a Dodge truck from J&J's on 11/12/22. We were assured by the salesman that there were no issues with the truck. We haven't driven it 200 miles, and the engine completely dies at random. We have been stranded on the side of the interstate for the past 2 days. We've attempted to speak to the manager, **** Hayes. He's cursed at us, hung up on me twice, and refused to give me contact information for the owner, ***** Waggoner. We paid in cash from a loan we took out so that my boyfriend could have a decent work vehicle for our family. Now we are out almost $6k with a lemon vehicle. They refuse to even hear us out much less provide any sort of resolution. I asked if they would take the vehicle and repair it for us and they refused that. They told me they would have to charge me for the repairs. I'm dumbfounded by the lack of customer service as well as integrity. I've read reviews on their page and evidently this is something that happens frequently with them. We honestly just want our money back. Nothing else. So that we can continue with our lives and find a better vehicle. Please help us.
