September 18, 2023, I filed a complaint against InfinEye, LLC for what I believe was a scam. On September 2, 2023, I thought that I was interfacing with MIcrosoft as I called to get help with a product. I have later learned that Microsoft does not give a phone number. Using Trust PiIot a technician, giving the name Alan Mac did install my product, but while doing so repeatedly told me that he detected a virus that could be emptying my bank accounts. I was frightened into thinking that my bank accounts were in jeopardy unless I bought a virus protection plan. I was susceptible to anxiety by such a situation as I am an older woman, 74, without a lot of computer knowledge. Still thinking that I was working with Microsoft I bought a needlessly expensive plan. I was told that I could receive a refund if I was not satisfied. I called repeatedly for a refund which I was told that I would receive, but it never came. After filling the September 18, complaint, I received a refund the next day through my Pay Pal account and from a company called ****** *******. Recently ****** ******* disputed the payment and my Pay Pal account now has a minus balance of the original refund $1,999.99. The dispute has not been resolved as of this date. In summary, I believe that I was scammed into buying a computer protection plan for $1999.99. After repeatedly calling the company, InfinEye, LLC, and threatening to file a claim with BBB, I received a refund on September 19, 2023, through ****** *******, Recently, ****** ******* is disputing the refund. In addition, I took my computer to the Apple Store for advice after the purchase. The technician said that she could not see that any virus protection plan was installed, nor did she think one was necessary as Apple builds in virus protection. In summary I believe that I
