About 3 weeks ago I got my oil changed at Gator repair on my 1994 dodge ram v6 magnum. I had a different kind of oil pan plug and I asked the guy there if he would be able to change it because it was different than most plugs. He said yes so I assumed always good and safe. I'm leaving my parents house a couple days ago and before I can get a mile down the road my engine locks. My oil had spilled all over my parents driveway and the road. They were the last ones to change my oil so I went to speak to the guy who oversees everything at Gator repair. They went look at my truck and told me well it's $2,000 to change the engine, thats all they could do.. Accepted no responsibility. I paid about $50 for my oil change, in cash, I still have the mileage sticker in the corner of my windshield which hasn't reached that mileage point. I now have no Transportation or way to work. I'm working full-time living paycheck to paycheck I have no savings to just purchase an engine or another vehicle. I'm screwed and they're screwing me even more. Because I paid cash and not card there is no receipts but they know I was there and the guy who changed my oil I meant he changed it. But swears up and down he tightened it as much as he could. I didn't know what to do so I figured I would start here. I can't afford a lawyer but at the very least maybe I can be guided into what I need to do. Thank you so much, ***** *******

***** ******* came in for an oil change. When the guy that worked on her vehicle saw that there was a boat plug as an oil pan plug, he told her that she needed to replace the whole oil pan. The customer said she didn't have money to replace it. Our worker told her that it was not safe to drive it that way, that the plug was not guaranteed to stay in place. She wanted him to do the oil change anyway.

Three weeks later, she called in to let us know that she had been driving the vehicle without replacing the oil pan and the plug fell out causing the engine to lock up.
