      After Hurricana Ida, Southside Roofing installed a new roof in my house. The roof had a leak in my bathroom; the company tried to fix it a year ago. During Hurricane Francine the roof started leaking in the same place so I called the company's phone number; a voice mail referred me to another number. A lady named ****** said that somebody was going to call me within a week and nobody did. Now nobody answers the phone or my messages.

      I contacted them about shingles that came off. Have yet to speak with anyone about having issue resolved. This is second time shingles come off the roof less than 3 years old. Need problem resolved

      SOUTHSIDE ROOFING INSTALLED A NEW METAL ROOF 2022. TWO DAY AGO IT STARTED LEAKING IN OUR BEDROOM. DURING HEAVY RAIN. I'VE TRIED CALLING THE SEVERAL TIMES. tHEY WILL NOT RETURN MY CALL.

      Southside Roofing installed a new roof on our home in Sept. 2021. Since then several leaks have appeared. They came out once & made some repairs & agreed to repair the damage caused to our interior ceilings. I have called them on regular basis about returning to make repairs & they always tell me they are going to send someone but have not. In the meantime we have developed additional leaks. Lately when I call no one answers the phone. I’d appreciate any advice or help you can offer.

      I had a roof replaced by Southside Roofing in 2021 after a hurricane. After about 6 months, my floors buckled and had to be pulled up. There was mold all underneath the flooring. After months and months of investigating, we learned it was coming from the chimney area. There was no flashing put back under the shingles which has allowed water inside my home for over 2 years now. I reached out and spoke with the manager and emailed pictures of the damaged floors, the mold and the rotten wood now around the chimney. They sent someone out to check and it was confirmed that that indeed was the problem and that I would have to pay 1800 dollars to have it repaired. I’m not side why they are not taking care of this at no cost to me! Now I can not get in touch with anyone about the matter!!!

      Southside Roofing (Lafayette Home Improvements, LLC) installed our roof in 2021 and we not received proof of warranty. Emailed via their website, no response. Called these numbers and got a voicemail box for a ********* ************, ************* ************, and ************.

      I had a new roof installed as a result of Hurricane Laura. The roof is totally substandard and since the roof was installed I have continued to have water coming in causing damage in multiple areas of my home. I have had many conversations with Southside employees and they have attempted on several occasions to correct the issue but nothing has worked. They keep “caulking” it. The routine is I have to make several calls before I get a return call or someone to answer. Next they want to send out someone to look at it. Then they want to send someone out to attempt to fix it. Then they ask that I wait until the next big rain to see if it’s fixed. We have repeated this scenario so many times that I can’t count! Over the past 2 weeks I have called over and over. I have talked to *****, the manager as well as ******. They have both stated on multiple times that I would receive a call directly from the owner. That as never happened. And with every big rain….the water damage in my home continues to “grow”. There are 3 main areas in disrepair. The master closet, the dining room and the front upstairs bedroom. I have Sheetrock that is bubbled and stained in addition to window frames that have separated. I am sure I have mold growing as well. My daughter is now having to get allergy shots - for the first time in her life. I am sure due to the mold.

      I hired this company to put a new roof on my home. I let the salesperson and Mr. Bob know that my gutters was damaged by the 10-12 roofers that was sent out for installation. No cushions was used between the ladder and my gutters. Some downspouts was removed and not found. All of this was reviewed. The sales person sent 2 companies to do an assessment of the damages. I kept calling. Mr. Bob requested in January that I give him about 4 months because Southside is starting their own gutter company. The next time I called Blake the salesperson is no longer there and Mr. Bob is also gone. Mr. Bob recommend I speak with Monica. Monica stated Frankie will contact me, which never happened. She then said Francisco will contact me. I contacted Francisco, he stated he will need pictures of the roof damages and a copy of my State Farm adjuster’s outline of damages from Ida. Also, pictures from State Farm. I sent the report to [email protected]. I called him to make sure he received. He said yes. State Farm sent him the picture. He said yes he has the pictures. He will need a couple of days and will get back to me. Well, it’s been 2 weeks of calling. Now, when they see it’s me calling my calls are being ignored. I want my gutters replaced. This company has been horrible to work with. Lies and more Lies. The workers wasn’t trained to know the basic of not damaging the customer property. Everything was a rush job. Please help!!!!

      I am currently in contact with the customer to get her issue resolved.  The estimate we have for the repair of her gutters is $560.  She is saying $2000.  I did speak with Ms. Butler and am trying to get a copy of the estimate she is talking about.

      I called customer and offered $1600.  The original estimate we received from Alpha Gutters to repair her gutters was $8 per LF for 70 LF of damaged gutters.  The quote was $560.  The other company quoted Ms. Butler for 200 LF of damaged gutters at $10 per LF,   We are willing to pay for the 200 LF of damaged gutters at $8 per LF.  Ms. Butler said she would call me back.

      date of transaction- November of 2021. Amount paid- $2800 ($1400 down then $1400 after completion. Commitment- Guaranteed full warranty on metal roof. Roof continues to leak more and more and bigger and bigger since December of 2021, each time it rains. At least 4 to 5 times a month calls have been made to them with promises to come and repair, but they have never shown up. No the business has not tried to resolve the problem.

      Sent my guys out to customer's residence on 02/06/23 to attempt to resolve the issue.  They added foam closures to her R Panel metal roof but she called back after the next rain and said it was still leaking.  Have her on the schedule for another service call and will add more foam closures and address any other problems we find.

      I am rejecting this response because: unfortunately the roof is still leaking. Now it is worse than before. I would like the business to start over again with replacing this portion of the roof to see what went wrong and is causing it to leak.

      I have been in constant contact with the Better Business Bureau in Lafayette keeping them informed of everything that is going on with the customer.   I had a metal specialist go on 5/18/2023.  He informed us that the roof needs to be redone.  He is putting it on his schedule and should be done in approximately 3 weeks.  Please let me know if you need any additional information.

      On August 17, 2021, a repair to may roof was performed. The flashing around my chimney on the roof was replaced along with some new shingles. On September 27, 2021, an email was sent to Nelda ****** ******* showing pictures of water again leaking in my roof. No response from her, therefore sent a second attempt to have someone come out and check the roof. No response still from Nelda, so a third attempt to contact her was on November 2, 2021. She responded and another crew was sent out on November 2, 2021. After they left my home, she sent a text saying that the grout on bricks was leaking and that was where the leak was coming from. On January 12, 2021, I hired a licensed home inspector to find out exactly what the problem was on my roof. I also had a licensed contractor to look at the roof and both of these professionals said that the flashing was improperly installed and the work was unprofessional. After receiving these reports, I called Southside Roofing to make an appointment with Evan ********* to discuss what can be done about this. It is 7 days later and no response from him or Southside Roofing. At this time, I want a refund of $2300.00 plus the $150.00 to hire the licensed home inspector. On

There was some miscommunication regarding what the repair contract covered, what we would be replacing, and what was not covered. We did attempt multiple times to resolve the issue, based on what was covered in the contract. At this time we are willing to refund the amount of the contract to Ms. ********.
