In April 2023, I entered in a contract with **** Broussard Construction to rebuild my garage that was damaged from Hurricane Laura. I made 3 payments of 53k for them to get permits and materials. Final was to be due at completion. Several weeks had gone by with no progress being made. Asked for a meeting with **** Broussard about why there was no one working. He said things were moving slow and asked that I trust him to complete this job. Things started moving again in August but then stopped. **** Broussard called and asked if I can a vendor do do work on the garage. I agreed because I was ready to get my garage completed. When he asked again if I could pay another vendor, that's when I got concerned about the money that was already paid for services. To speed up the process, I paid a vendor for services again. I also paid to have garage doors installed, bought hot water heater and flooring. I sent **** Broussard the invoices for all this. During the meeting, I stepped away to answer a call from work. My wife asked **** Broussard where did all the money go that we've have paid for services. He told her the money was all depleted. When I came back into the meeting, I asked **** Broussard to explain to me where the money had gone because I had paid for all the other things again. He could not explain where. He just said he's a one man team now and if we trust him to finish the job we would be satisfied once it's completed. Things got heated, I asked **** Broussard to leave my home. My wife said **** Broussard mentioned that he had paperwork with all the credits owed to me. He never gave us the paperwork but wanted equipment that was left behind. I told him he was not getting anything and I called the police. **** Broussard was allowed to gather his equipment and some that was paid for by me. I have not heard from **** Broussard since. Now I'm being sued by ****** because **** Broussard never paid the bills. I had to hire another company to complete the garage.Initial Complaint

I hired B Broussard Construction to do some siding work for me. The work, needless to say after $22,000 is shoddy. I have reached out to the Louisiana State Licensing board, all they could recommend was to hire an attorney. I can not afford an attorney. I was threatened action when my services were incomplete and final payment was not issued pending completion of the job. The roof/siding look horrific, the chimney cap is crooked among other items listed . I feel that this company seriously misrepresented himself at a huge cost to me. They want to charge me additional monies to fix the work I feel they messed up on. I also feel, that I need to speak up so this may not happen to someone else. This is something I really did not want to do, but was left with no options as I feel I was wronged by Mr. *********.Business response
