I was given a quote from ***** with Sanders contracting for a bulkhead and a boat launch. I accepted the quote and made the first payment at the end of February. I was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks to be completed. He broke up the bid into three equal payments. Within the first month, he had done the first phase of the project which was demo. This was the smallest amount of work for the project, two or three days worth of work. For the next month, he kept telling me he was about to start on the bulkhead, but never would. During this time he gave me another quote on the same property to demo an old house that was in his way for $10,000. I agreed and gave him another $5000 to start work. He demo the house promptly within two or three days. At this point I had given him over $25,000 which consisted of the first two payments for the bulkhead and $5000 for the demo of the house. When he asked for more money Was not comfortable giving him more money until I saw progress on the bulkhead seeing how he kept giving me excuses why he could not start. In hindsight, the reason why he couldn’t start, as he told me, was because he didn’t have any of the money left. The house demo was completed around April 13. By June he had not started the second phase of the bulkhead. During that time, I was repeatedly told that he was going to be out there within a day or two and there was only about a weeks worth of work left. But he would consistently would not show up. Also, during this time he would constantly ask for more money. There was a few days worth of rain during this time, but not two months worth. When I informed him that we were not happy with the length of time, it was taking for the completion of the job. He would constantly reassure me that he was about to start it, and it would be over quickly and then he would ask for more money. I eventually told him that I would like to end our contract and get a reimbursement on the money for services not rendered. That’s when he told me he did not have the money. I have sent him a certified letter, requesting the funds and have not had a response.

On November 07, 2023, I met with Isaac sanders regarding culvert installation and possibly having a fence erected on my property. On November 08, the city of Lake Charles started installing drainage pipes in my neighborhood, so I decided to wait on the installation of my culverts. I paid Isaac Sanders $4150 on Nov 07, as this was what he required up front to begin work. Once I asked Mr sanders for my money back, he has continuously avoided me. He agreed to Zelle my money back in $1000 increments. As of today, I’ve only received $2000 back. He still owes me $2150. His story keeps changing regarding refunding my money. He’s now telling me that he mailed a cashiers check to me on Tuesday, November 13, 2023 in the amount of $2150 and I still have not received the check. Since this whole ordeal, it has left me completely overwhelmed that a so called businessman would take advantage of another person. I have been suffering with increased anxiety to the point of chest pains regarding my money that he owes me. I work very hard for my money and I am requesting Mr sanders repay me what he owes me. I would highly recommend anyone needing services, not to contact this company because they will not refund your money and they are not licensed or bonded as they claim to be.

This company is NOT licensed nor do they have a home improvement registration, I have reported them to the LA Contractors board and per the board they will receive a cease and desist order which means they legally will not be allowed to take on jobs or complete jobs.. On the contract that we signed it stated ‘The Contractor is registered with the state as a contractor, and has a registration number of ********* expiring on 04/09/2024.’ Hired this company on March 11th, 2023 as I write this review it is October 30. They were hired to do hurricane Laura repairs and renovations to my elderly parents’ home and it has been a total nightmare. They came and demo’d everything in March but since then they had only been coming once a week for approx 2-3 hours if that. Always have excuses (dentist appointments, truck broke, trailer broke, out of town, etc.). Over the last 9 weeks they have come on average once every 8 days. They came in July for 2 hours after I left a poor review. We agreed that I would take the review down if they started to show some progress towards competing the job. But after I took it down they stopped showing up, we asked when they were showing up until I put the review back. It was a lot of back and forth. Eventually we just fired them on October 15. Anyone can see that that is not how business should be done, home jobs can’t be done one day a week for 5 going on 6 months. Eventually we got frustrated and just terminated them. They have been paid the full amount for the job over $43,000 and have yet to do even 50% of it. In June they even asked for an extra $200 a day to complete the job (texts to prove this), I didn’t agree to that but these are the type of extortion/blackmail tactics they’ve tried. I’ve requested a refund for the amount that they haven’t completed and they have yet to do that. I’m only asking for the money back for the ‘work’ they did not complete, not the whole amount.

On Feb 11, 2022 Mr. ******* sent his bid in to repair a banister, build/provide 3 cabinet doors in the kitchen, 4 in an upstairs bathroom with 4 drawers, one cabinet door in master bathroom. Repair framing around 2 picture windows. I paid them half upfront for materials $950. They came a stated they would come Feb 14 and did not show. Came on Feb 15th and began work. They said they could do fake drawers vs build drawers and a fake cabinet front on the master bathroom. They had placed cabinet doors that were not approved and hung crooked on the upstairs bathroom. They replaced 3 spindles with paint grade primer vs stained primer, They put bondo on an area that would should have been placed, did not repair other parts of the banister. They told me they could not do the window frames and tried to talk me into options I did not want. They were suppose to return 3 days later. I had texted them that we did not want to continue with them due to they were unable to complete the work as they said they could. My ex-husband took at day off and did they did not return on the day they said. I requested a refund on materials and asked them to pick up the cabinet doors they attempted to use. I have not heard from them after multiple emails, text and phone calls.
