I called Macon Ridge Fence Company to put a fence around my back yard with double gates on both sides of my house. They were supposed to begin the job on 10/12.21 but didn't show up or contact me. They finally showed up on 10/14/21 to begin the job. ****** Mathis came that day to show his crew what HE wanted done. I had told him I wanted a 4 foot fence with two 4 foot double gates on each side of my house and where to put the fence on the east side of my house. He marked everything correct EXCEPT the east side of my house. I wasn't allowed to discuss this with the guys actually doing the job (I did try but they said they had to go by what Mr. Mathis said for them to do). SO I sent him a text and told him that the east fence posts were in the wrong place and would have to be pulled up and reset in the correct place. He wasn't happy about that because that was the first thing that was wrong from what I told him I wanted. My fence was not completed until the following Monday 10/18/21. They moved the poles on the east side to the correct places and strung the wire and built the gates. One gate is 4 foot tall and the other gate is 3 foot tall. This is the one that he is refusing to redo. He has already charged me (payment requested on completion of the job) even though I was not happy with this particular gate. I was charged and paid $5,135.00 at that time. My reason for fencing my back yard with everything 4 feet high is because I have six great grandchildren and I wanted a SAFE place to play when they are at my house. Is that too much to ask? I told him all of this when he came to do his measurements and I gave him what I wanted and he did it his way instead of mine. I went with his company because his rating with you was A+, (not in my opinion).When I told him I would cancel my check if he did not come and see what needed to be fixed he threatened me with court action. He did fix the problem to my satisfaction. If this was done in the first place, there would have been no need for me to contact the BBB. I do thank you for your help in this matter. I am very satisfied with the work that was done on my fence. He really needs to listen to his customers' wants and needs and build his fences according to the customers' explanations of their wants. They do have their own ideas of what they want. Thank you for your help. ******* *******
