The customer wanted to have the gas turned back on at her property at *********************************************************. She was charge $279 for a walk through inspection of gas system and pressurize existing gas line with air (and was told that if any additional problems were found, it would be an additional cost). She was also charged $300 to file a permit with the city (which is a requirement). The total being $579. The Technician completed the gas vacancy inspection and met the gas inspector on site; the city inspector discovered issues while on site and could not pass the inspection without additional work being done. The Technician gave the customer estimates for the additional work that was needed to get the property up to code and the customer refused to go with the work. Afterwards, the customer decided the put a stop payment on an already deposited check for $579 - which was the amount for the initial work that have already been completed at that point.
We sent a certified letter to the customer and are in the process of canceling the permit application for the property (at our own expense).
