In late August of 2022, we hired Lone Wolf Renovations to install a gate and electronic gate opener so that we could park our car off of the street. We just had a baby and did not want to have to worry about safety getting her in and out of the car seat on the streets of New Orleans. The job was fully completed in mid-late September 2022 and worked as advertised for about a year.In January 2024, one of the arms that pushed the gate open began slipping on occasion, causing the gate to only partially open. It seemed to correct itself and I did not think much about it. However, on February 5, 2024, I came home from work and one half of the gate had been blown open by the wind, and the mechanical arm that opened that side (the same arm that had been slipping) had overextended and shattered it exterior covering and all the wiring was wrenched apart.I called Lone Wolf multiple times, and was assured that someone would call me back to discuss warranty/replacement. However, I was not contacted until February 27, 2024. I was told that someone would call to come inspect the next day. No one came. On March 1st, I followed up and sent pictures of the gate and was once again assured a person would come inspect. No one came. I tried contacting a few more times to no avail. My wife contacted them on April 3, 2024, and finally on May 1 they said they could send someone that day. I left work to meet with them. Two employees arrived, inspected and said they would communicate with the manufacturer of the arm to procure a replacement. They said they would call me the next day. They did not. I sent several text messages requesting updates. They were not answered. I called again on May 28, and was asked if he could call me back the next day. He did not.We have tried to be patient and work with Lone Wolf, however, they have consistently ignored basic inquiries and disregarded the value of our time and the safety of our daughter. This is unacceptable.

After talking with three contractors, we decided on Lone Wolf and signed a contract with Lone Wolf roof April 2023. We completed the 50% deposit in July 2023. In August we were ready to install a new roof (old roof had numerous active leaks). July - August the company went dark. No one answering phone at office, VM full, cannot leave a msg, no one replying to texts and emails. We reached out to the salesperson who said his payroll checks were returned NSF and the owner had a gambling problem. He then reached out on our behalf and finally, *********************** called us. Then HDLC delayed their approval until mid Sept. We then learned of the Fortified Roof Program and asked if they were going to participate. *********************** said yes. From then on, no communication for weeks at a time, even tho we checked in weekly. We check in regularly in spite of no returned calls, texts, and emails. The few replies we did receive were "can't talk am on a project" or "home with kids" or "still working on cert for fortified roof" I reached out to the fortified roof program myself and was told it would be 2 yrs before program could go into full effect. We couldn't wait that long. By December with no new roof and 8 months of leaks and no action on their part, we said forget about the program and just put a new roof on the house. Again, silence. On 12.23.23 we canceled our contract and asked for a refund. ****** said, "Yes, he will send 80% refund". Every week we called or texted asking, "Where is the refund check?" - "it's coming." was his constant reply. End of December, we hired an attorney who was unable to serve papers, or send cert mail as Lone Wolf ofc sits empty. Am seeking others interested in a class action suit and filing a fraud complaint with the DA's ofc. as I see this has happened to others I have lodged a complaint with the contractor license bureau who already had an active complaint open against them. We got a new roof from another company in Jan.

We had Signed A contract 4.27.23 And only got a small deposit. We went back on 7/5/23 to get the remainder. Our Team had to work hard to get this roof approved by HDLC We had to pay staff, as well as all materials for the job. Then, We were told after getting it approved that the Customer Wants to use someone else that is on the Fortified Website. We told them we can get it approved also. We agree to do the right thing after taking out materials and the pay to the workers for 3 months of meetings and inspections on this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]LONE WOLF has $8500 OF OUR MONEY AND NO SERVICES PROVIDED - that is fraud.  There were no materials purchased on our behalf.  We are due at the very least 80% refund.  THEY DID NOT PROVIDE US WITH A ROOF! That is the bottom line.  To address LW's reply comments:  We paid the deposit the salesman requested in April.  We paid the remainder in July when we were ready for the roof.  We never attempted to use another roofer for a fortified roof.  We asked Lone Wolf specifically if they were interested in getting certified to be on the list so we could use THEM.  Regarding ****, we had to harangue LW to send a rep to be with us during the **** hearing, the rep gave incorrect information saying we wanted a partial roof.  This is relevant because Lone Wolf assured us that they would assist us in navigating the process and we had to hound them for help and they didn't even come with the proper information, in spite of that, we were approved by the ****.  We finally got a roof from a company recommended by my family which was among the three bids we received when we started our search for a roofer.

      Regards,

      ***********************

We stand with our decision on this. We have showed and can show details of this. We were Hired to do a normal Roof Replacement...Our Team went to multiple historic District hearings to get this color approved, then back on site 5 times getting plenty of photos. Months later we got it approved... Then, Months after The customer wanted to change his contract to Fortified Roof and stated we couldn't offer that. ( Which is not true, We do Fortified Roofs every week) The truth behind it is they spoke to an ex employee of ours we had to let go and he is very disgruntled saying negative things which made them make this decision to let them do the Roof. Our team had worked on this for months and purchased materials as well. We have proof of all of this and would love to meet with the Customer to Resolve this. We were told she is good Friends with ********************* she said and she would be calling him to represent her? So we kind of was waiting on the legal talks to begin so we can show what was spent, and how she was way out of the 3 day recission period. We stand with our Decision and have the evidence to back this up.

I had a roof replacement done by this company in november 2021 after hurricane ***. When I signed the paperwork hiring this roofer with the owner, ***********************, he wrote and stated there would be a 5 year warranty on my roof should anything happen. I have had a major roof leak while working out of town on a nursing contract and have had a very difficult time getting this company to reply. showed up to the office and no one is there/looks like its halfway constructed. I have sent emails, text messages, left countless messages and i was finally reached back out to by text message saying theyd take care of it ASAP. I asked if someone needed to be there and they said not necessarily, but I would be in town the following week to be able to let someone in to assess damages. This company has stopped replying again after trying to tell me it must have been a leak from an upper story window, that flooded through two floors. I just want the roof fixed so I can get inside fixed. This is what was originally promised in 2021. The longer they hold off on helping/taking care of this the more damage the inside of my home has. I need this fixed ASAP.

On 6-7-23 I signed a contract to have wood and aluminum fencing installed and work done on existing iron work. I put down $3973.00. To date nothing has been done. I have made multiple contacts with the company over the past several months and to date, nothing has been done. In the first several months it was a supposed supply issue. I have had many promises that the work will begin "next week", "I'll call you Tuesday with an update", "I'll call you back at 11:00"...nothing ever happens. Now that I have wasted 6 months, just give me my money back

In May we contracted Lone Wolf to do a bathroom renovation and kitchen backsplash. We put down $6200 to hold our spot and $4200 on tile. It took over two months for them to come out and get started. The first crew did our backsplash. The backsplash looks terrible. The cuts are jagged. There are pieces of tile missing and the corners do not match up so it doesnt flow. When they started trying to move on to our bathroom we noticed they did not properly water proof the shower so we asked them to leave. They sent in a second crew. This crew took over two months to tile our shower. They did not give us the niche we asked for. The first two walls looked ok. When they got to the third wall up we noticed it was extremely uneven. We had to ask a second crew to leave. When communicating with the person who should have been overseeing the crew but wasnt he said they would fix it. We were done with the company. We had been waiting since May, they started in mid July and we were into September. We asked them to leave our home and refund us for the tile that they ruined in both the kitchen and shower and for the thing that we were promised and didnt receive. The owner communicated with us and said he would make it right but would never meet up with us. He eventually just stopped responding.

Sorry for the experience you guys have been through. I did come on site to look at the back splash and can honestly say I think we are being *********** on that as some of the spots marked were not issue spots. **** never comes out perfect but I was willing to fix what was wanted. I did communicate that I will make it right which I still stand on. We will make this right for the material the best way We can. Please reach me on my cell ************ as We had to let most of our staff that were answering phones go through this troubling year for us. Again, I am sorry you guys had to go through an experience that you were not happy with!

We signed a contract with this company to replace the porch railing and to install a gas lantern on March 15, 2023. Seven months later I have no porch rails as promised and they left a hole in the interior of our home for which I had to hire someone else to finish. For months I've been told by ***** that my $3700 refund would be forthcoming .......the last lie was in August. Since then they do not answer my calls or respond to messages. I really don't understand how a business like this keeps their licensing but I do intend to find out. This is ridiculous and unacceptable! After posting the above ****** review 2 weeks ago, ***** responded the next day saying that he thought that I had already been refunded and that he would take care of it immediately. He stated that he would place the refund check in my locked mailbox. To date he has not.

I hired lone wolf to complete a balancing and gutter repair project that was originally quoted in April of 2023. I signed the contract and paid the deposit April 24th of 2023 and the project was supposed to be fully completed by May 18th 2023. This timing was assured to me on several occasions both verbally and by text. Lone wolf has continued to make excuses for why the project was not completed through mid July at which point I was still open to them completing the work. After further delays I started asking for a refund so that I could hire a different contractor to complete the work as the is becoming an urgent issue as the condition of the balcony has continued to deteriorate which effects the safety of my home. I have called, and texted 50+ times to the company directly, the owner Dylan, and to the construction manger Corey and have been given further excuses and more recently they've started screening my calls or hanging up on me after answering. Currently I want the company to fully refund my deposit so that I can proceed with another contractor

Lone Wolf was assisting me with a quote to provide to LIGA for repairs to my siding due to Hurricane Ida. Lone Wolf said I needed all new siding, as well as new OSB under the siding. They provided the quote and LIGA asked for more justification. In order to do more work to justify, I was asked to make a deposit of $2000 to Lone Wolf to guarantee that if, and only if, LIGA accepted their quote that I would do the work through them. I was told the deposit was fully refundable should LIGA still deny the quote. I wrote on the check memo that it was refundable. LIGA unfortunately denied the quote and opted to instead have me simply repair the siding instead of replace. I contact Lone Wolf in July to let them know them know it was denied and I would like my money back. They agreed and said they would work on it. A few weeks later around 8/7 I called again and was told it was with the accounting team to cut the check and it would be sent out. When I had not received the check still by 8/21 I started trying to call daily for updates, but no one would return my calls. Finally after constant calls and emails I was contacted by the Owner, Dylan, on 8/29 who told me my check would be cut that Thursday 8/31. As of today 9/9 I still have not received the check or any further communication. At no point has there been any disagreement on whether or not they owe me the $2000, but they simply will not return my deposit. Holding my money is very unprofessional and constantly ignoring my attempts to contact and get answers is terrible business. Meanwhile they post on their social media about big things changing with the business which leads me to believe they are holding my money to help enable them make business deals.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 20579592, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

While Dylan from Lone Wolf did offer to meet today, Wednesday 11/1/23, he did not reply to messages on time and place, and still has not resolved the issue as promised. Attached are the screenshots of the texts offering to meet and then not responding until the day was over. He is also insisting that I need to sign paperwork, which he has yet to provide for review. This refund should not be contingent on any additional commitments on my end.

I also refute the claim by the business that this was a non-refundable deposit. As the check that was endorsed by the company was clearly marked refundable. I also have audio recording of the verbal contract with the companies rep in which it was 100% clearly stated that it was fully refundable. So this claim is blatantly false.

I am glad that the intention by the company is to refund the funds, but until this is actually done, I cannot make this as acceptable response as they have promised time and time again to refund without actually doing so.

The only acceptable conclusion will be after the refund has been provided with no additional conditions. Since I only have so long to reply, and this is not resolved yet I have to decline to accept.

      Good Morning,

This issue is a gate motor issue. This has nothing to do with us. The motor was installed and working properly, We went out twice to inspect and they found an issue with the motor which is a MFG issue. They warranty the part and I spoke to **************, We are going to go back out next week to get this gate working. We are no longer taking this scope of work. The motors have been issues for every brand besides Lift Master. Lift Master we have not had one issue yet to date but it cost much more.

I understand that the problem with the ghost controls motor is a manufacturer defect, however I believe that defects are between the seller and manufacturer to figure out and how to resolve it. Which in my opinion has not happened as of yet which I feel that its on the seller as much the manufacturer as they sold the defective product and claimed to be able to fix any problems that came up with in terms of the warranty.. and yes they did call finally Thursday and I will be here for when they come out and look again hopefully they can fix the problem. And I feel that since they keep wanting me to spend more money on a lift master motor without having mine fixed and  since its so much better they should either supply one at there expense or we try replacing the motor with a new exact same model to see if that solves the issue.but whatever solution we come to I believe it should be at the companys expense since its something to fix a existing issue.

On May 10, 2023, I paid Lone Wolf Renovations an initial deposit of $4,493.00 for a new wrought iron fence across the front of my property. The sales representative – who has since quit – projected a project timeline of 6-8 weeks, and that work could start as early as 3 weeks. I accepted Lone Wolf’s proposal, even though it was not the lowest bidder, because of the project timeline. Throughout that time, I contacted the sales representative and the owner for project updates by phone, email, and text and received no response. On July 12, I was told over the phone that my project was delayed since their dependable crew for fast turn-around had quit and the other two crews were committed to large project for a new school was being re-done due to jurisdiction permitting issues with their first install. I was told my project would be completed between July 24 and August 4. Again, attempts to contact the company through email, texts, voice calls and social media went unanswered. On August 4, the owner, Dylan Manale, stated that I was naïve for believing the timeline set by his company and promised a full refund of my deposit. As of August 25 – after several attempts to reach him through email, texts, social media, and certified mail – I have not received the deposit back. Our last contact was by text on August 10, in which he stated that the check was being mailed that evening. Researching the company further, I learned – through BBB complaints, online reviews, and out-of-state court filings – that I am not the only customer/corporation that is owed money. No work was performed and work with other contractors at my home has stalled because of Lone Wolf’s inaction.
