      On March 12, 2021 I met with Mrs Elaine Clark who contracts out work for Memorial Granite Works LLC to order my child's headstone. It was a Georgia Gray Granite single heart monument. Mrs. Clark turned in the order to the company (she is a family friend). The receipt from the tombstone agreement, which is attached, promised to be prepared on or about 6 months. Which should have been around September. I've contacted Mr. Andy McBroom several times. The first time he said I should "kick his tail" because he had the stone, but had not completed due to unforeseen circumstances due to not having the material to do the blasting. I was kind and accepted it wouldn't be long from then. In December 2021, he swore it would be done first of the year. Then again in April he promised the mold prepared for blasting would be ready that week. He said he would contact me. He never did and does not answer or return calls or messages. I paid in full at the time of ordering $1,094 on March 12, 2021. I am preparing to contact a lawyer if this is not resolved as it has been well over the 6 month promise with false promises. I really just want the job completed. My child deserves a headstone. As someone in mourning, I should not have to fight for a product I paid for. Thank you for looking into this.

      When my mother passed away in 2007 my family purchased a joint headstone from this company for my parents it was placed in a timely manner and my Mother's information was engraved. In November of 2020 my father passed away. I visited the establishment in December of 2020 and paid the $100 to have the birth and death information added on his side of the headstone. I was assured this would be done in a timely manner as well. Now we are in July of 2022 and it has still not been done. I have called on countless occasions usually to get no answer. I think on one occasion I spoke to **** and have talked to his mother several times. Each time being told it would be done soon. I live in South Carolina, I was in town July 1, 2022 and tried to visit the office during work hours, but they were closed. Later that day, I visited the gravesite at ********* Cemetery north of Rayville, LA on Hwy 583 and it has still not been done. I am including photos of the headstone and the information on the marker provided by the funeral home for review. I have left my phone number on the rare occasions I got someone to answer but have never heard back.

      In response to this complaint, I found out through a third party the work was done a few weeks ago. I never heard anything from the company itself regarding it. I also sent them a registered letter with no response or signature verification. Very strange. I would not recommend them to anyone ever again. Thanks, ******* ********

      OCCURED OVER 12 MONTHS AGO. 6/14/21 PAID TO HAVE THE DEATH DATE ADDED TO MEMORIAL EXISTING MARKER AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY IN MONROE. 4-5 MONTH DELAY WAS EXPECTED AS NOTED BY MR. MCBROOM, BUT IT IS STILL NOT DONE AND WAS TOLD MULTIPLE EXCUSES FOR THE DELAY. THIS IS DISTURBING TO MY WIFE, THE DAUGHTER OF THE MOTHER NEEDING THE DEATH ENGRAVED ON THE MARKER. TODAY, WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ENGRAVING WOULD BE DONE TOMORROW, JUNE 28 EARLY IN THE MORNING BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD IT WOULD BE DONE MULTIPLE TIMES.

MCBROOM WAS THERE WEDNESDAY MORNING AND MUST HAVE COMPLETED IT A DAY OR TWO AFTER HE ADVISED. THIS COMPLAINT CAN BE REMOVED FROM YOUR AGENDA, THE JOB HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

      In March of 2021 I called and ordered my husband's and mines headstone and gave $1000 deposit. My husband passed away January 2021. He told me he was running behind getting granite. I talked to him over a month ago and he said he was getting a shipment of granite the following week. It's been a year and still no headstone. I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I've tried calling for 3-4 weeks and no answer. I may just need my money back if I don't get this taken care of soon!
