I was stuck with an emergency situation when a local tree company abandoned a tree removal job, leaving behind a partially cut tree leaning over my neighbor’s house and piles of limbs blocking the yard. That cheap deposit I paid had become a down payment on a disaster. What a deal! I called Logan’s Tree Service for help. The next morning, just before 8am, a caravan of equipment began arriving. The sequence of machinery and workers came forth in such a way as to clear a path to the tree so the lift truck could get in. By 8:15, a well-choreographed routine had taken shape. Workers were helping each other put on safety equipment and complete radio check with each other, Bobcat loaders of various size and front-end fitment were maneuvering about. Modern chain saws were starting right up without a fuss; all quite the event to witness yet surprisingly well choreographed and orderly. Things were definitely looking up. By 9:30, a bucket truck had made its way up to the leaning tree and a worker was 50 feet in air cutting away the top branches. The debris left by the other tree service had by this point vanished and new cuttings were also disappearing as fast as hitting the ground. By 11am, much of the equipment was already partially loaded back onto trailers as the finishing crew was picking up twigs and sticks. Leaves and saw dust were reduced down to finely scattered mulch. By noon, all was done and all that remained of the tree was a large diameter stump cut off right at the ground. The crew and equipment had since rode off into the distance, on their way to another job. Logan had effortlessly saved me from certain disaster, my neighbors were thankful too.
