Bonin’s Tire and Repair. Should have read prior complaints. I brought my car to a shop in New Iberia because of a knocking noise in my front end. The mechanic gets in and drives it and comes in and says I think it’s the lower control arms. Puts it on the rack and tells me the bushings are gone off of them and that’s the noise. Ok. Bring it in, $1200 later they are changed and they let me know there’s no noise. I drive off and it’s quiet for a few miles then I hear it very faint. Well I bring it back and they now say it was the struts that was making noise. I have warranty on my struts I would have only paid labor. So they change them but they are not happy because they gotta do the another alignment. So I pick my car up again and paid another $144. After I pick up my car I hear the same noise. Now my car is pulling to the right and my steering wheel doesn’t spin back after turning. So I bring it back and got it back today with “ I can’t find where the noise is coming from. Everything is in place and nothing is loose.” I asked if they did the alignment he tells me “ it didn’t pull when I drove it.” As I was leaving the business it’s pulling when I let go of the wheel. Now the noise is worse. My steering is still messed up. I’m fed up with these mechanic shops!!!! They steal from you and move on to the next! Well I’m contacting the BBB. I also have to find an honest mechanic shop to fix what they messed up!!! SO FRUSTRATED!!!!Business response

In response to the complaint filed by **** ******.
The vehicle was brought to us we did some engine work to it customer also stated she had a knocking noise in the front end, test drove the vehicle pulled it on the rack and found that the lower control arm bushings were blown out completely making a loud knocking noise. She brought it back to us couple days later we changed the lower control arms and test drove it everything was quiet no noise. Customer picked up the vehicle she stated that it was completely quiet when she picked it up. Called back the next day saying that she could hear a knocking noise that was starting to get louder. I asked her to bring the vehicle back to me so we could recheck it that is when we found the two front struts making a slight noise. Explained to the customer told her what was wrong she said she had had them replaced previously a while back wanted to know if we would replace her struts for her since she had warranty on those. I explained that we do not install parts bought from outside sources, that we supply parts and labor so we can warrantee everything properly. After talking to her for a while I made an exception and decided to go ahead and change the struts for her.
We also had to realign the vehicle to where I never said I was unhappy about it I actually told her that I was realigning it at no charge for her. She is still hearing a noise and I actually test drove it and heard a slight noise coming from the front end. Put it on the rack myself and my top mechanic checked every nut bolt every part on the front end including the struts everything could not Find anything loose broken or out of place that could cause a noise. She did explain to me that she took it to the dealership and also another mechanic that she had mentioned that I don’t recall the name of but they could not find anything wrong with it. The lower control arms that we removed from the car the rubber bushings were completely blown out causing the first initial noise. Going back to the strut situation the struts that she purchased were only the cartridges which we like to always change the complete assembly including the bearing cap and spring and I explained that to her that the Bearing cap could make noise. But yes we did put it on the rack for that third time and we cannot find anything bent broken out of place or worn that could be making noise.ONEIL * ***** **

I am rejecting this response because: I sent all of my paperwork that I had work done on my vehicle to fix the noise an alignment. I even sent receipts to prove I had to realign the vehicle at AAA Alignment. When I picked up the vehicle it pulled to the right. Why would I spend another $100 something dollars if it was aligned. The second mechanic even saw the wheel in the front passenger side was sticking out and was not aligned the way the front drivers side was. It was that obvious
Sincerely,
