In March, I purchased a 2008 CTS Cadillac from Get a car in New Iberia Louisiana from Logan ******** for $5,000. I still have never received my title for the car. I have filed a certified complaint to the dealership requesting the title or my money back. At this point, I just want my money back since the car broke on me a few months after I purchased it.

In response to the above referenced case number, here is a timeline of events that took place regarding Ms. *******.

On March 22, 2021 Ms. ******* visited our dealership and purchased a 2008 White Cadillac CTS Sedan in the amount of $5,000.00. At the time of the transaction Ms. ******* did not have the full amount ($5,000) to purchase the vehicle in full, therefore Mr. Logan ********, who is the owner of the dealership, allowed Ms. ******* to put $3,000 down in cash and the remaining $3,000 on a promissory note. Ms. ******* signed the promissory note agreeing that she would have the balance ($2,000) paid in full on 04/22/2021. Ms. ******* never fulfilled the promissory note by 04/22/2021. We attempted to contact her several times regarding her balance on the promissory note but was unsuccessful each time. Ms. ******* messaged our dealership on April 24, 2021 stating that she had the rest of her money but she never showed up at the dealership. On September 9, 2021 Ms. ******* came to the dealership and made a $600.00 credit card payment on her promissory note, the left her with a remaining balance of $1,400.00. At an unknown date the vehicle Ms. ******* was driving broke down on her therefore Mr. Logan ******** agreed to credit the balance of her promissory note. On October 15, 2021 Ms. ******* messaged the dealership again stating she had never received her title. Ms. *** ********, who was the administrative assistant at the time, explained to Ms. ******* that we do not mail out titles. Ms. *** also informed Ms. ******* that she was supposed to come into the dealership a month prior to pick up her title and no one showed up. Due to the special circumstances surrounding Ms. *******, Ms. *** agreed to mail out her title. On November 25, 2021 Ms. *** mailed out the original title, original bill of sale, original odometer statement, and original buyers guide to the address that Ms. ******* provided. On January 19, 2022 our dealership received a letter from Ms. ******* requesting the title to her vehicle or a refund of her money. We notified Ms. ******* that we had mailed her paperwork to her and if she did not receive it we will have to assume it was lost in the mail and we would have to file for a lost title. Then, on January 25, 2022 our dealership receives the letter from the Better Business Bureau.

As of today, February 3, 2022, we have since then received Ms. *******'s duplicate title. I have called the phone number she provided us with no success. Get A Car LLC is willing to waive the $150.00 processing fee for a lost title if Ms. ******* is willing to close out this case as satisfactory and no issues.
