I would like to make a complaint about Resthaven *************. After my grandmother passed, she was laid to rest there and to get a headstone for her has been an event. My mother requested multiple times for the headstone requirements in writing which I do not think she ever got. Although she went along and purchased a $4000 headstone she had shipped from **. The shipping address on the ***** shipping label is *************************************** addressed to *****************************. ***** delivered the headstone to *********************************************************************************************** on 2/14/24 at 1:17pm and it was signed for by RRobert. My mother called Resthaven and spoke with ******* and she continues to deny that it was delivered. We were not informed when it shipped, my mother thought it was going to be delivered in April. When she began her calls to inquire about the whereabouts of headstone, she discovered that it was delivered back in February and when she called Resthaven ****************** has been denying the delivery from the beginning.Business response

i explained to the complaint that we have no record of receiving that memorial. I spoke to ****, who manufactured the memorial, and he said his records only show the address of ************************************************************* for delivery. Fed Ex said they delivered the memorial to ************************************************************* Fed Ex needs to explain how the shipping information was changed without the shipper's permission and show the actual signature of the receiver. There is no one at either site with the name "****************".Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]How would ***** just pull this address out the sky to deliver to. It is affiliated with the cemetery. And as for the name it is too close to the contacts last name for it to be a coincidence. Even the shipper who is in PA feels something is not on the up and up. I contacted ***** and am waiting on a response.

Please give follow up information from Fed Ex. I understand that the last name on Fed Ex's receipt is similar but that is the name on the shipping label. Fed Ex needs to give details on how the shipping address was change.Customer response

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolutionAs I am not the shipper ***** will not provide any information that is not public knowledge to me. I am also in contact with the shipper in order to get this resolved. I have called ***** multiple times and am waiting on a call back. While waiting I am also going though the BBB with them also. Because my family is the only party that is at a loss it appears that all 3 companies are just passing the blame. Not one of the 3 separate companies would like to own up and claim any type of fault. The cemetery should have the headstone process in writing when a family looses a loved one the head stone company should have policies for headstones lost in the mail and ***** should return items to shipper if the address on the label is undeliverable or at the very least call the customer because the phone number is clearly printed on the label before forwarding to another address. The only one that is out of money and in distress about the lost package is my family. And I do not believe that is fair. Is it possible I go to 1833 and look for the package myself since it just vanished?

This is the proof the shipper sent me as. I also went to the ***** website and downloaded the same file. And in one of my many ***** phone calls I was directed to the same file. There is no other delivery confirmation available.

I explained before that my company has no record that a delivery was made. Resthaven Memorial Park reason to deny the delivery. If the packages were left without a signature, they may have been stolen.Initial Complaint

Cemetery has been plagued with drainage issues making it impossible for burials and even visiting loved ones grave sites. My grandmothers burial was delayed for a week due to poor drainage issues. If its the citys problem, then its Resthavens responsibility to make sure its rectified. We arrived to the delayed burial and the site still hadnt been prepared.Business response

As ************************************* stated in her complaint that ******************************* was not able to be interred on her scheduled date of October 2, 2021, due to street flooding in the area.
I filed a complaint with BBB on September 18, 2021 (ID ********* against ************************ and to date I have not received a response from them (I sent photos of the area with the complaint). I have contacted Councilperson *************************** office to have a meeting scheduled with me, *************************************** and ************** of ****** Works. The two agencies continue to shift the blame from one to the other and neither address the problem. The drainage in this area has been a problem for many years even prior to Hurricane *******. I await your response from my complaint (ID *********.
The burial site was not ready for ****************** because there were two previous canceled services scheduled at the same time and the other was confirmed first and prepared in that order. Resthaven's staff try to have all services prepared on time.
