In the shoring and foundation repair industry of *********** that is known for its many disreputable contractors, **************** and his employees are a lone bright spot. I initially saw his work at two separate addresses in ******** where I recently took over handyman work, project management, and property management for an elderly neighbor of mine who no longer has the use of her legs.Despite his knowing that the owner would never be able to view his work, I can attest to the fact that **************** completed his contracted work with her expertly. Items included replacing 20+ ft spans of 6x6 sill that were rotted out, sistering floor joists, jacking areas that needed to be leveled while avoiding damage to interior walls and/or cupping of 100 year old wood floor slats, repairing crumbling and sinking porches, etc.After seeing this work, I employed **************** to repair my home in ********, which was built in the 1940s and added on in the 1970s. The "joke" I make is that homes like mine are the reason why we have ************* codes now as many things were done "incorrectly" by modern standards. Additionally, much of the lumber used back then is no longer available now.******************** many years of experience and clear ability to convey that knowledge to his employees came in handy as he was able to help solve this very complicated series of problems. They were able to install multiple new ***** after digging and building new piers, working around complicated existing plumbing lines and removing dirt under where the joists had sunk too low for clearance. He even offered to relocate some of that dirt to our front yard flower bed where water runoff had washed away a lot of the dirt. The spans between the original floor joists were too wide by modern standards, and **************** was able to rectify that as well while taking a small amount of sag out of the 80+ year old floor joists without harming the interior and/or necessitating jacking the entire house.Thanks again!
