I needed electrical pole with all the hookups to pass inspection. Our verbal contractual agreement was that he would provide everything needed to get the job done. He and his workers installed a used pole and wrong electrical box. When inspector came out, inspection failed. I contacted him that inspection failed and needed to be corrected. He said he would make it right. But then he wanted to charge more money for equipment and labor.Business response

I am responding to the complaint. The above images is the contract that was sign with the work that was done. And the message from the inspector, he didn't state anything about the power pole or 100amp. He stated it needed wires and weather head, also awhole house surge protector. The job needed wasn't part of the contract. Mrs. Tisha told me that pole wasn't tall enough, that was her only complaint.. That wasn't part of the problem with the inspector. I supplied all material needed, pole, 100amp breaker box, and wires from pole to in house breaker. Over $1000 in materials. And I just find out that the contract was sign by Mrs. Tisha not Mrs. ****Customer response

From Letitia *** (emailed from sister ****** because we could not finish complaint on website)
Dear *******,
I, Letitia ***, reject the response given by K.T.C. construction and/or Eugene ******* **. (Aka Chuckie) Of Opelousas Louisiana. Below is my explanation.
June 15, 2023
I contacted Eugene because someone referred him to me to get electrical pole, box and all equipment needed to pass inspect. I stated that I had check pricing at *** ****** ****** ******* and was told that it would cost $814.45. Eugene quoted me a price of $1,300.00 to get the job done providing everything needed. Then he said that if he had to add wires it would cost $150.00 more. I was willing to pay that amount.
He went to property to check the job. He asked me to meet at ********* ****** *** ********* ****** ***** to collect an estimate payment of $40.00. I asked for a receipt. He said he'd bring a contract tomorrow. After confirming he'd do the job, I gave him $40.00 estimate fee. We went home separately.
16 June 2023
The next morning I went to the trailer. Eugene and 2 other guys had already dug hole and put pole in ground. They were concreting pole in. Eugene left the property, leaving the guys to continue work. He came back to pick them up. I texted him at 11:08 a.m. asking if he'd be awhile. He replied "no, came to ******." He didn't say anything more. According to my text messages, it was well after 12:30 p.m. before coming back. All the time I waited. They proceeded to work. He came and said job was done. I gave him $1,400.00 cash. He gave me a receipt and contract. We departed.
21 June 2023
Someone that knows about electrical work and plumbing told me that inspection would not pass. I text him that I needed to speak with him. He said he'd call me. Eugene called and I told him that his work wouldn't pass inspection. He told me to call inspector and if it didn't pass he'd make it right.
22 June 2023
I called ****** ******* ********** and told me to check website for electrical set up. I contacted Eugene to tell him to go ****** website to see how its supposed to be set up.
23-30 June 2023
I was very hurt and disappointed that I had paid all this money to Eugene and the job wasn't done correctly. I allowed him time to correct the job.
1-5 July 2023
I went on vacation with my family.
6 July 2023
Inspector Brian came out. He called me and said he could not pass because I still needed wires, weather head and whole house surge protector.
10 July 2023
My son-in-law called Eugene and told him inspection failed and he needed to make it right. Eugene wanted my son-in-law to meet him at ****** to pay for supplies/equipment to correct the job. Son-in-law refused.
I felt that since I was the one that hired him, I'd continue to contact Eugene. So I called him and was told that I needed to pay out-of-pocket for more supplies and pay an extra $250.00 for labor. I told him "as an licensed electrician, you should know what it takes to pass inspection." Conversation ended.
I refuse to pay K.T.C. Construction LLC or Eugene ******* *** (Aka Chuckie) any more money. I'd rather get another licensed electrician to get the job done.
Sincerely,
Letitia ***
