I dropped my car off for repairs to front bumper. They replaced with wrong parts (fog lights) and didn't repair all damage. They had the vehicle an additional 3 weeks and still failed to put correct parts. I contacted the owner, ******, and he had someone help me. The employee agreed it was the wrong parts and said they would have the person handling my account contact me. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing. The incorrect parts do not allow airflow to my front brakes so they are overheating causing premature wear. This is also a safety concern as they can lockup while driving.

When Mr. ******* dropped off his vehicle we ordered his parts using his VIN number and received the parts for the repairs to start. The bumper that was on his vehicle was a bumper that had open grid for fog lamp area and we are not able to find bumper. When we order the bumper it shows a close grid for that VIN number and the only bumper that we can find like the bumper that was on the vehicle is an after market bumper, which Mr. ******* does not want. We have spoke to the local dealership and several different parts suppliers and this is the only option we have found being an after market bumper. We have ordered the bumper and have an after market bumper here similar to what he is wanting, but he does not want after market parts. We have made attempts to contact Mr. ******* to speak with him about a resolution but have been unable to speak with him. We will be happy to replace his bumper with whatever parts his insurance is willing to pay for and Mr. ******* is happy with. We can also have his insurance look at the repairs to make sure it is a satisfactory repair. We would like Mr. ******* to be happy leaving the shop.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

He has tried to contact me once by leaving a 5 second message (name and #). I returned call and spoke with receptionist, but never heard back.

There is nothing wrong with the bumper. The bumper on my car is the correct equipment. It is the two fog lamp bezels that were incorrectly ordered and placed on my car. When I returned to his business and reported the incorrect parts, the employee he had help me noticed that there were two different parts that could be ordered. The one they placed on my car, and one with openings allowing for airflow. The VIN is the same, but different options on the vehicle calls for different parts. Judging from the owners response, it is apparent that he doesn't know what he is talking about. He has had my vehicle for 6 weeks, I had to tell them about parts that weren't repaired (3x), wrong parts on my vehicle (2x), and that parts he repaired have already fallen off; I will only accept him paying for the work to be done correctly somewhere else. If he refuses, then I have no further recourse but to have this matter taken to court.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******

07/07/23 My Jeep was brought to Advanced Collision after being in a wreck. They called and said they received the vehicle and would let me know whenever they assess the damage. After not hearing from them, I started reaching out to them trying to get an estimate. They told me it had to be brought to an alignment shop. They told me it was sent there however it was still sitting in their yard. I called and asked why it was still sitting there, they said they thought it was at the other shop. After this I called once a week for an update. They would give me the run around and I ended up having to call the alignment shop to find out what was going on. This went on for around 6 weeks. I was finally told the Jeep was ready for pickup, that it would be "detailed" as a customer service. They told me to come in right at closing. Advanced did nothing they were supposed to, the rim they were supposed to repair was still damaged and, the bumper they were supposed to replace was instead straightened and had a long crack, there was still painting to do, they "detailed" the interior with a pressure washer, making a huge mess and they did not replace the shocks with what I had on. I left the Jeep with them for another 2 weeks, and finally got to pick it up on 09/11/23. The Jeep was still being worked on when I got there, with the hood up, despite not needing any engine work. Everything looked better, so I went home. Something about it felt weird while driving, after getting home I found one of the front shocks hanging loosely, missing a bolt. When I tried to crank it, the battery was dead. I called them the next day, and they told me to drive it to them and they would look at the shock, but the battery was my problem. I brought it to them and an employee was looking over it when the alleged owner came out and got argumentative and loud. Getting in my face yelling and acting aggressive over having different opinions. I want to be re-imbursed for the battery they killed.

Initially when Ms. ************ Jeep arrived at Advanced Collision Repair we took pictures and submitted an estimate for repairs to insurance. Her Jeep needed suspension work, which we sublet out, and other repairs to front bumper. Not long after her Jeep was at the shop it was sent to an alignment shop in town and they did the suspension and shock work. The alignment shop that it was sent to is who ordered her parts for the suspension and shocks. Advanced Collision did NOT do these repairs nor did we order these parts. Advanced Collision did repair the front bumper and Ms. ********** did not like the repair and wanted a new bumper. We submitted that she wanted a new bumper to insurance and the insurance did allow for a new bumper. We had a local parts accessory store order her bumper for her Jeep. This bumper had to be ordered from Florida and was ordered about the time a hurricane hit Florida so it took  longer than normal for the bumper to get to the shop. When Ms. ********** came back to Advanced Collision she was complaining about the shocks and suspension repair, which Advanced Collision did not do nor did we order the parts for that repair. It was explained to her that we did not do these repairs but she was very upset at the time and I am not sure she understood that. She was extremely argumentative with the owner and an insurance adjuster, who was here at the shop, commented that she was screaming very loudly at him. Later that evening she had made several comments and statements on social media about the owner and him being an abusive husband and named him by name in these posts. I am not sure why we would be responsible for her battery. We will not buy for a battery for her vehicle.
