I bought four DOT approved tires from ******* three out of the four tires were extremely lopsided it is taken months to get them to give me a refund and they still aren't giving me a full refund. They owe me the cost of the tires and shipping which was hundreds of dollars and they will not pay it. I have videos of the lopsided tires and emails from them trying to not pay for it. The dealer who I purchased them at was extremely helpful while ******* did everything they could to not pay for it

      Business response

      06/07/2022

The customer / person that filed this claim has done so falsely. The customer in question purchased a set off four (4) ******* branded tires through a dealer called ****** 4WD in California owned by Pepe Paloma. in January/February 2022. ****** does not buy directly through *******, but they purchase through one of *******'s distributors, 4 Wheel Parts / ************* Wholesale, who purchased them from ******* Tire Corporation. ******* uses a third-party contractor to manufacture ******* Tires.

****** contacted ******* directly to let us know that three of the four ******* tires he had sold to the Mr. ******* may qualify for a warranty replacement. At that time, the ******* warranty manager asked for the standard information needed to perform a warranty claim. Including: The original Receipt of Purchase of the tires, photos of the DOT / Serial Numbers of each tire in question, and photos of the tires in question themselves, including any photos of the possible warranty issue. That information and photos requested where supplied to ******* in March 2022. Replacement tires were not available at the time due to supply chain issues and production delays. The customer did not want to wait for the tires to be produced and asked for a refund. A prompt refund to ************* was made for the tires in question. A copy of the RGA form is attached. ************* then issued their customer, ******, an account credit for the tires. It was then left to ****** ****** to refund the money they had charged Mr. ****** for the tires. The customer then asked for a refund of the perfectly good tire that was not warrantable. In consideration of his situation ******* obliged and issued a credit to ************* for the fourth (4th), who then issued another credit to ****** ******. ****** ****** then attempted to issue a refund back to Mr. *******. However, ****** was informed that ******* no longer had the credit card he charged the tires to and would need a PayPal reimbursement. ****** Supply obliged. A copy of that receipt is attached.

******* followed official and posted warranty procedure for this transaction. We were never contacted directly to Mr. ******* until after we were alerted by the BBB that he had filed a complaint. We responded to Mr. ******* directly and were met with expletives' and a very erratic attitude. He had originally contacted Mr. ******* in order to have the tires we refunded him for picked up and shipped back to our HQ at our expense. The customer demanded that ******* cover ay freight charges he had incurred and became very belligerent when said we did not feel as if we owed that. We asked to get the tires back and Mr. ******* declined. We were not able to ever calm the customer down long enough to speak with us in a calm and understanding interchange after that point. It is our experience that when a customer acts in such a matter they are attempting to commit fraud. After speaking to ****** ****** and asking them to confirm they had indeed given Mr. ******* his full refund, which they said they had, and hearing that the customer did not want to have the charges reversed on the Credit Card he originally used to purchase the products with strengthened our suspicions. However, we had already refunded the distributor, who refunded their dealer the monies owed. As far as we were concerned, we had done our part to make the customer happy and had done so following our SOP and in a timely fashion.
