Mr. Rooter Plumbing Issues 2022 ****** ***** <**************@gmail.com> Attachments Fri, Oct. 05, 9:34 AM (5 days ago) ****** *****, Homeowner *** ** ****** Street Shreveport, Louisiana XXXXX *******@gmail.com ****************** Complaint Against Mr. Rooter Plumbing 6130 Linwood Avenue Shreveport, Louisiana XXXXX 318.795.8086 To Whom This May Concern: I (****** *****) contacted Mr. Jefferson with Mr. Rooter Plumbing in July 2016 for them to come out and give me an estimate of replacement of a sewer line in my backyard with PVC pipe and connect to the city main line for a clear line, so the water would flow correctly and not stand in the sewer line. Mr. Jefferson came out to my home on September 7, 2016. On this visit they replaced the sewer line out back and repaired 2 exposed plastic lines. The total charge for this service was $3,094.33. I stated I wanted PVC pipe due to the fact there was old clay pipe and there were roots and build up in those old pipes, so I need PVC all the way out to connect to the city main. Mr. Jefferson and his assistant informed me that they could not connect to the city main line. I have a witness that heard him say that they do not do that. I began researching with other plumbing companies and asked if they could connect to the city main line, their answer was yes, they could. I mentioned to Mr. Jefferson that other companies stated that they could connect to the city main line. He then asked me who told me that they (Mr. Rooter) could not connect, and I told him "You and your assistance did. The City of Shreveport Water and Sewer have technicians to come out after contract work has been done. At the time of this visit I was informed that the line (PVC pipe) was not connected to the city main line. The pipe is a clay pipe with roots and build up and that's why my line is unable to flow properly and does not flow on an incline. I was also informed that I would have to have a snake in the line every so often to help the issue.Business response

There is nothing more that we will do for this customer. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/10/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have been doing business with Mr. Rooter Plumbing since 2016. During this time my plumbing issues have not being resolved in a proper manner. I contacted the owner and asked for some type of reimbursement for the inconvenience that this problem has caused. On October 11, 2022 the owner offered to refund me 33% of the invoice from 2016. On October 18, he called me again and stated that he was longer going to refund my money to me because he was not given a 5 star review on his website. At this time he was very insulting to me. I would like to be refunded for the open invoice that I am currently paying on. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me with the matter.
