I stay in the chateau apartments in Shreveport la im 18 I stay by myself, my air wasn’t working and they would say it’s nothing wrong with it but whole time it was frozen. The maintenance man that were suppose to come fix it came days after I said something about it and didn’t announce that they were inside of my apartment when I was in my room changing my clothes, not only did they do it once they did it twice without knocking or letting me know they were inside of my apartment and that made me feel so uncomfortable and unsafe I haven’t been home for weeks because of this the management is trash I told the lady in the front office toni!! All she had to say about it is there doing there job they work for all the Fairfield properties but what does that have to do with them coming into my apartment without my consent???? I live in North Louisiana in the Ruston and am a current resident best with North Village Apartments which is managed by Fairfield Property Management whose office is located in Shreveport, LA. The staff are unprofessional and they have upcharged me on multiple occasions due to mistakes on their end. I was informed that my insurance paperwork was not current due to my renewal in March. However I was never notified until August 11 so I assumed my insurance paperwork did not need to be updated. However once notified I sent in my paperwork in hopes to avoid the charge, because i was only notified once. When I notified management on site August 30, 2023, she informed me they audit every friday and once I am flagged a non refundable $25 fee is attached to my rent for insurance. I'd like to note that again my insurance renewed in March. If there is an audit every Friday and I was never informed about this for 5 months that means that is a mishap on their behalf. Next, The areas outside of the apartment unit are riddled with bugs and bird feces. It took them four months to clean this area. I have photos. Last, In July their custodial staff entered my apartment while I was on vacation to fix a light and instead of using a ladder, the individual, (who management refuses to reveal!), instead stepped on my bed with his boots and was dumb enough to actually leave the footprint. I have received no apology for this. When I expressed all my concerns again about this on August 30,2023, management threatened me by saying she would call the police if I decided to communicate in person any further. This is bad business and now I no longer feel safe.
